I’ve been to Chuan Spa for facials & massages, but this last time I was there for a mani pedi. I have to say that all of my services have been exceptional, and I leave there feeling relaxed and renewed. I recommend going early so you can enjoy the jacuzzi, dry and steam saunas. There are separate facilities for men and women. Your service includes a couple of glasses of wine or champagne. I loved the pedicure portion of my service especially. They give your legs and feet an extended massage as well as a clay mask for your legs. I usually find the manicure polish chips within the first day, but this lasted 4 (!) days before it chipped. The experience lasted about 90 minutes—my person really took her time, and I never felt rushed. If you’re staying at the hotel, the spa is a must.

I wanted to take my sister some place special to celebrate her 60th birthday. So, we went to The Langham Huntington for brunch and a spa day. It was fabulous! The hotel was very turn-of-the century with lots of history and beautiful grounds to stroll in and enjoy. Added bonus: our massages were wonderful and ended with a relaxing nap on waterbeds...so retro.

I liken this place to Red Door Spa, but nicer.
I was politely greeted and shown the locker room (ins and outs- shower, bathrooms, lockers, sauna,
Hot tub, etc.), although you are free to hang out in the front waiting area for awhile if you want
My Chuan Signature Massage was wonderful. You take a questionnaire to determine whether you are "Wood," "water," "fire," etc.; it honestly felt like they were going to start running lines from Captain Planet. My massage felt so amazing I fell asleep and shamefully woke up to the sound of my snoring. This place is the perfect place to get pampered and relax, solo or with your partner.
*Complimentary champagne, wine, mimosas, water, tea, coffee.

As a birthday present my husband bought spa treatments for my sister, niece and me. Since this is such a lovely resort, I thought the spa would be also. The girl up front was nice and helpful but it went downhill from there. My massage therapist acted short with me and was unfriendly. The facility was just okay to some I’ve been to before. A small jacuzzi. All the usual spa supplies were listed as things you could ask for if you needed them. We were asked to leave after we showered because others were waiting for treatments. They had no place inside for my sister and I to talk while waiting on my niece.

Начну с минуса: ни в отеле, ни на ресепшн SPA, ни в онлайне нет полноценного списка услуг (SPA menu). Соответственно, нужно задавать вопросы на ресепшн SPA.
Я получила удовлетворяющие меня ответы. Все, что мне было нужно, оказалось в наличии.
Сервис, атмосфера, используемые продукты и, самое главное, руки мастеров на высочайшем уровне.
Рекомендую!

Have visited many spa over the years. This spa has the most experienced and skilled treatment specialists I have ever encountered. My mother, daughter, and I received
6 services at Chuan Spa: 3 massages (swedish and deep tissue), hand and foot "reflex remedy", and "feet retreat". All specialists adjusted treatments on the spot to accommodate our individual needs (frail 89 year-old; stressed out 56 year-old; and nervous 18 year-old). The reception staff and manager could not have been more accommodating and friendly. (In fact, I'm surprised by the negative review of manager Deante Horton below. Mr Horton, who picked up on the individual needs of our group immediately, made us feel like a family of privesses. Very professional, yet personable. My 89 year-old mother could not have been more charmed.) We were deeply touched by the receptionist who surprised my mother with a gift: an elegant tray of chocolate truffles and personalized message. This staff is above and beyond!

This was one of the best experiences I have had at a spa. From the moment we arrived we were faithfully attended. The pace was relaxed, but efficient. Despite filling in a questionnaire David asked what particular issues I had and addressed them all. Both jet lag and soreness from hiking disappeared. The ambience of the relax room is fantastic. The steam/sauna is top notch.
The only negative was the motor for the waterfall which was so loud it was impossible to hear the water.
I highly recommend this spa and David if you can get him.

The products they use are amazing. We took our mother there for Mother's Day. She loved it. They served us tea, so while my manicure was perfect, I had to use the restroom due to the tea. It ruined my manicure, but it WAS perfect for about 10 minutes.

I booked a hydrating facial that was well over $200. My face and eye lids became scaly, irritated and cracked and this went on for days. I called back to let them know and to ask if that was normal. Days later someone left a voicemail to talk to me about my experience. I returned the call and no one called me back. I am not a novice to facials but am astounded by the poor results, cost of service and lack of follow up.

I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage and a body scrub on Saturday. I gave the receptionist my last name and was asked if I have been in this location before, I said no.
I was given the standard release form to complete and a form asking about color, seasons, mood etc.
While completing the form I heard male voices speaking very loud in a jovial manner. As I approached the counter to return the forms I noticed that it was a customer interacting with an individual who looked like a manager...
OK some talking is necessary but this IS a spa.
I handed the receptionist my form and she placed it on the desk and said nothing. I waited for a few minutes and as it was within 5 minutes of my appointment time, I asked where do I go for my appointment?
The manager said "Oh are you scheduled for an appointment?"
I replied yes and he handed me a locker key and escorted me to the entrance door of the ladies area. I asked where do I meet the therapist, he said it's a door in the back and take a left and it's dark so remember left.
After placing personal items in the locker I wandered around for a bit trying to find the door and after a couple of dead ends I ended up in the waiting are.
There was another guest present who was called by her therapist and I overheard her saying that she had made a request for her usual therapist.
The manager was called and told the woman that her request could not be honored because that therapist was not coming in until 2pm and was fully booked. The guest then asked him why she was offered a 12:30 or 5:30 appointment when she called in and specifically asked for her regular therapist. He responded she doesn't come in until 2pm and we can rebook you tomorrow. No apology. The customer left. I waited another 15 minutes alone in the area, one name was called but the person was not there.
I returned to the front desk to ask why I had not been called the receptionist said "we were just discussing that" after a long pause I said "and?"...
The reply was "there were two Customers with the same first name" . I reminded her that I did not give her my first name when I checked in, and at that time I reconfirmed the type of treatments booked.
She repeated you have the same first name as another guest. I repeated that I never used my first name in any staff interaction.
I was just left standing there in my robe in the lobby not knowing what to do.
One of the receptionists finally said we just sent someone back there to get you. NEVER did ANYONE say anything even close to I'm sorry for this mixup, I don't know what happened, this is not the way we treat our customers or even we are working to make sure you are accommodated. NEVER did anyone say that they would make certain that I get the services that I booked in a timely manner.
To the contrary I was treated like it was my fault that the screw up happened.
I returned to the waiting area and after a brief wait a therapist finally arrived asked me if I wanted a glass of wine. I said no I am here for a massage. She said she was juggling the rooms and needed time to set up for services.
I did finally get my massage and scrub and I am glad I didn't leave as the service provider was quite good. But honestly during the first 30 minutes of the massage I was very upset. Also of note was the shower stall had hair on the wall.
I also subsequently booked a shampoo blow dry and it was good as well.
Upon departure room service food trays that I observed upon arrival at noon were still on the wall outside the spa at 4:45pm.
It seems that the customer service policy in the spa is not aligned with that of the Langham hotel which was quite delightful during our stay.
