On the road between Santa Barbara and Morro Bay, taking PCH 1 North, it is a magnificent place, much more beautiful than Morro Bay in fact. The view of the ocean and its rocks invaded by a crowd of cormorants is simply magical. Few people, which makes the walk more pleasant.

Beautiful. You walk right into this location from Dinosaur Caves Park. Get your camera ready! We went early on a Monday and there was only a couple of people at this treasure.

Grassy cliffside area with really neat ocean and beach views. The promenade passes through and you can take a nice stroll following the cliffs.

Such a terrific tranquil and beautiful spot for relaxing and meditation. Specially on weekdays it’s usually quiet in the morning. Listening to the sound of waves and enjoy God’s creation. Seagull and geese will be good company. Enjoy.

Right next to Dinosaur Caves Park. Short trail between the two parks. Large rock island just off shore from the park hosts many birds. This is a small park with a couple benches.

What a great spot if you're in the Pismo Beach area.
This small park is just off the Dinosaur Caves Park. Sit in the gazebo, enjoy the views, or just relax and bird watch. Great location overviewing the Shell Beach Coastal Conservancy Preserve.

Fantastic views, great sunsets! Great place to walk your dog. Excellent for tire pooling at low tide.

It is what all the signs say. It is a drop into the cold Pacific Ocean if you fail to follow their warnings. Many people where out walking the narrow dirt pathways and many uncaring left behind dog remnants . A shame to spoil the walk for the rest of us. The view is spectacular and from the roadway you cannot see it. You must park and get out and walk. The fog comes in quickly to obscure your vision as well. Beautiful homes line the other side of the street.

A small park right near the Dinosaur Caves park. Easy walk over after parking our RV in the parking lot there. Great views everywhere you look from this vista point. I have never seen so many pelicans in my life except here. Absolutely gorgeous!

You'll find parking here along the street side. We had no issues finding a parking spot on a weekend late morning.
The grassy park area itself is quite small with a gazebo that overlooks the ocean. On the street side, there are several benches where you can sit and admire the view. We did take some time here to enjoy a lunch that we packed and brought with us.
However, we highly recommend to descend the stairs down to the ocean floor. You can spend a couple of hours down below exploring the different rock geology, a couple of caves, and tide pools. If you are a rock hound or beachcomber for sea shells, you'll find plenty here.
On the rocks just several hundred feet into the ocean, there are hundreds of birds. Pelicans were plentiful as were several other varieties of birds.
A few folks carried their kayaks down the staircase and launched them from this area - another fun adventure if you are equipped to take part in paddling the ocean here.
Bring a camera. If you have a good long distance lens, you can get some great bird shots. Binoculars are recommended as well.

Yes, you can get married there. I was just there on Friday, and the area between the Gazebo and the ocean is riddled with gopher holes, so the ground is very bumpy.
