This is one of those flat wide beaches that is built solely for the purpose of fitting as many people as possible on it. The day I visited it was cool and just after a big storm. The beach had survived pretty much unscathed and had already been cleared of debris and repaired from any erosion. There was no one using it and with more storms on the way, they probably wouldn’t be. There is also a small park there along with restrooms and a few other buildings. It is probably a very popular place during the summer.

This beach is a Hidden gem in Ventura!! Take food and drinks because the only option at the beach is Surfside restaurant which has Mexican/seafood choices. The closest shopping center is a 10 minute drive from beach

The beach is clean and the pier seems private but is public. There are never too many people, you can bike, walk surf or just sit on the beach and enjoy.

After eating we walked to the beach and it was wonderful. Sea calm, sun setting, little or no sound other than the waves. So very peaceful. People were fishing on the pier and chatting away. Everything was clean and plenty of parking spaces if you don’t have the benefit of staying close by. Sea looked safe but will leave others who travel here to check this part out. You can eat and drink at the fish restaurant pity we had already eaten, and would have loved to go on a Wednesday when they have a special of an all you can eat menu plus live music.

The beach is very nice and not overcrowded. You can hike and fish. There are a nice bird observation possible.

I Loved Port Hueneme Beach Park! Very clean, and quiet! Nobody goes there so it's ideal if you're not a fan of crowds. We went during labor day weekend and there were hardly any people compared to other beaches and in the morning absolutely empty♡ I loved very much that I didn't see a single tweaker/homeless there which is very refreshing because I traveled with my baby girls and I felt safer. A must go if you like quiet beaches!

this beach is clean and has grass around the area. the pier has good fishing right now and is sometimes a bit crowded. there a great fish shack therewithvery good food and a lot of times in the eveing there a band or singers good music. theres a bike path that goes around the beach area and to the lighthouse. a great family adventure. There is paid parking. besure you get your ticket and place where all can see or you will get a parking ticket.

Based on reviews we were expecting a bit more to look forward to. We only stayed one night. Beach was nice but that was it. Very disappointing!

The beach is wide and well maintained and the pier offers a chance for a slow walk or fishing. Definitely not qell advertised, but that can be advantage compared to some of the larger beaches. The bathrooms could use a good cleaning, however. Pets are allowed on the pier and surrounding area, but not on the sand.

Are dogs allowed on beach?

Not on the sand. There is a small walkway leading to the restrooms and restaurant which is open for dogs. The restaurant allows dogs on the outdoor patio.
