This winery was an unexpected surprise. Have visited a number of other Ramona wineries, and this place is head and shoulders above all of them. Their wines are better than most Temecula wineries as well. The tasting patio is small and casual, but the hospitality of the owner and the reasonable tasting and bottle prices make this place worth your time.

I stopped by this winery and I was happy I did. First, let me say that I didn't have high expectations for wineries in Ramona. No reason. I just didn't know much about the area. I had read a little about this winery. One, that they made bread and one could get some to go with their olive oil and wines. When we arrived, the owners were the ones serving us. Was a small operation. They told us due to Covid, they were trying to get back to being open. They were pouring 9 tastes/wines for $10. 2019 Albarino, 2019 Semillon, 2020 Mourvedre/Grenache Rose, 2016 Estate Zin, 2015 Estate Sangiovese, 2016 Estate Malbec, 2018 Estate Cab Franc, 2017, Estate No. Block Red Blend & 2019 Kohill Blend. We had a lovely wine tasting experience. They had no music in their inside tasting area. The gentleman serving us was very informative. Sort of a serious person but offered enough about his operation and wine making in general. Definitely a boutique winery. Everyone in my party loved visiting this winery. We left w/a few bottles and will be back. I highly recommend this place.

All of their wines overall are quite good. Very personalized tastings with wines being brought to table to taste, indoors or outdoors. If you are lucky enough to be there when the wife makes her sourdough bread rolls you are in for a treat. This probably my favorite winery in Ramona he does a nice job with the wines.

We like visiting the local wineries on weekends and decided to check out Chuparosa for my father in laws birthday happy hour. We had a relaxing afternoon! Dog and kid friendly. And good wine of course!

We stopped here last Sunday and appreciated the dog friendly indoor and patio areas. Owners were extremely friendly without encroaching. Complimentary sourdough bread mini-loaves were presented along with olive oil for dipping. The bread was made by one of the owners. Liked the wines and particularly favored the Sangiovese/Brunello. Nice, quiet, convivial, country setting in which to taste wine and enjoy the scenery.

Always love a visit to Chuparosa. Andy and Caroline are great hosts, and the wines are excellent. Malbec is my pick of the bunch, and its great just sitting outside enjoying some great wine and company. If you're in Ramona, make sure you put a visit on your list

The couple who own Chuparosa are very knowledgeable. This is an estate owned vineyard meaning all the grapes are grown on their property. They know their grapes, their wine is excellent and if you go to any one place in Ramona for a tasting, go to this vineyard.

We decided to check out Ramona on a weekend after we heard that it was a unique place to do wine tasting. Chuparosa Vineyards was recommended to us and so we decided to check it out. This really is a hidden gem. The owners of this winery are very skilled in their craft and have produced some of the best red wines we have ever tasted! Along with a wine tasting you can also try a mini loaf of homemade sourdough bread made fresh by the owner’s wife. This couple are the nicest people - so genuine and friendly and really down to earth. We subsequently visited a second time with our son and daughter in law (who were visiting us from Los Angeles)so they could try the wines too. A huge impression was evident as they purchased over a case of wine to take home. Highly recommend!

Today we celebrated my mother's birthday wine tasting at Chuparosa Vineyard and other Vineyards... The best part of having my mother's birthday in December is every place is decorated in the Christmas spirit and most people already cheerfully celebrating! Chuparosa Vineyard is one of our favorite stops in Ramona, they're always neatly decorated. Andy and Carolyn are delightful people and make one of the best 100% Estate wines. If you enjoy red wine, you can always enjoy a tasting of the Malbec, Zinfandel, Sangiovese, Cabaret Franc.... or they now have a white Albarno wine that is delicious with spicy Thai food.... or if you enjoy a nice spring/summer picnic wine, the Rose' is yummy! We will be back in the spring!!!

1. Stop by a local store for snacks or a picnic lunch, Ramona wineries are small boutiques and do not have any food for sale.
2. Pack a light sweater or blanket. Not all wineries have an indoor wine tasting room.
3. Always being your water.

Andy and Carolyn are awesome hosts! We've been coming here for years and it hasn't changed a bit. Chuparosa is one of the few, if not only place that gives you free tasting if you buy wine. It's easy to do because their wine is fabulous. The tasting room is small but there's chairs and tables outside. Feel free to bring a picnic and wine taste inside or outside. The view of the vineyard is serene....if you look carefully you'll see Carolyn out there working if she's not serving wine. Enjoy your visit!
