We had a great mudflat exploration with Kerstin in Vollerwiek. We met in front of the dike at the specified time, where parking on the side of the road was no problem. First we went with the group to the other side of the dike, where we got all kinds of information about the Wadden Sea from Kerstin.
Then we went into the mudflats where we walked along the embankment to the first tidal channel. There were lots of things to discover along the way, like snails, sunburnt cockles, oysters, pissers and of course lugworms.
With lots of interesting anecdotes, the time flew by.
