We arrived early around 5:00pm for the semi final sat outside and had a drink. Was very pleasant. Within the hour the crowd built up with long queues waiting for food and the toilets queues were even worse, not as many women’s toilets as there were men’s with the lines At least 40-50 people long. Some extra portaloos would probably help.
Inside was great we were fortunate it wasn’t a hot night.

I have been to many tennis tournaments and stadiums including this one over the years. Whilst I applaud the provision of the roof on the Ken Rosevall Arena as we have been to the tennis in unbelievable heat, the stadium is no a furnace of stale hot air......there is no circulation! Worse though is the sound system....it is obvious that no-one in the crowd can decipher any announcements or commentary. It really reduces the atmosphere and also surely must be a safety aspect. Everything else is great but really get your act together- I now remember why I have been going to Melbourne each year to watch the tennis!!!!

We tried to see the Tennis Stadium but it is currently closed for construction. I’m sure it will be a great spot to visit once it re opens

As a Christmas gift, I took my sister and her husband to a night session. I have been to this event some years ago and have enjoyed both times.
A pity that the 2nd match got rained out, but we all had an enjoyable time.
This event, as was my previous experience, is very well organised. Foods and drinks services around the grounds are extremely efficient!
The main arena was only half full for the matches. Is a shame Sydney folk don't patronise events like this as Melbourne folk do and create a full on atmosphere for players. Especially to cheer on our own!
Overall a great day or evening out especially for families with kids.

The Gema Group have done an amazing job of providing a good variety of food choices from their range of service venues.
We sampled fish and chips one evening, supplemented that with a Greek salad the next
evening, then, .... the third evening was the best: a hamburger!,
Great!!
Drinks from several outlets, wines, were good.
Seating around small tables, near the "bus" venue was pleasant.
We took the hamburgers further out to outdoor tables and chairs, near the outside courts.
That was good too.
I enjoyed watching the match on Show Court 1, from a grassy spot outside.
One disadvantage was - during the Monday matches on Ken Rosewall Arena were punctuated with the background commentary coming inside the Arena from the large outside screen. - the place where people can lie in bean bags to watch televised matches. It interrupted the watching of some classic moments of play on Centre Court.
