Saw Two Gentlemen of Verona. Beautiful outdoor setting and the actors were very entertaining, doing some great adlibs as it was a comedy. Plus a dog and a scooter on stage - what more could you ask for?!

We recently attended a performance of Two Gentlemen of Verona and it was great. There were a few moments of adlibbing due to circumstances (some involving the dog) and it was hilarious. Purchasing a bottle of water is a little pricey at $5 but it was so hot that evening and necessary looked at it as a donation really. If you are in Boulder in the summer do look for a performance to attend they are great.

I have been attending the Colorado Shakespeare Festival since 2018 (Richard III, Love's Labors Lost, You Can't Take It With You and Cyrano de Bergerac) and have never seen a bad production here - and that includes the 2021 Covid-shortened season of A Midsummer Night's Dream (hilarious), The Odyssey, and the original practices Pericles. It's true not every Shakespeare play is a gem - but even when I don't like the story (for example Titus Andronicus, which I have yet to see performed at CSF admittedly) I appreciate the skills of the actors and the great care taken in scenery and set design.
Last night I saw Two Gentlemen of Verona. The "Clowns" Launce and Speed stole the show, but the entire production was excellent. What's fun is the same actors are in The Book of Will - which plays on alternate nights, so you get to see each actor playing different roles within a short space of time. The same holds true for All's Well That Ends Well, which I've seen, and Coriolanus, which is opening next Sunday with Broadway alumni Gareth Saxe in the title role.
As with all theatres, seats come in a range of prices. Further away from the stage, the cheaper they are. Couples will like the romances....excellent for groups. Don't be afraid of the Shakespearian language - read a synopsis of the plot and you'll be able to understand everything.

We attended Two Gentlemen of Verona on July 7th. It was a wonderful production in one of the most beautiful settings in the world. If you are in Boulder, check out the Colorado Shakespeare festival and make sure you see a show in the outdoor theatre.

We attended Two Genlemen of Verona last night. It is a wonderful production. As always, the Mary Ripon Theatre is a lovely venue - watching Shakespeare under the stars of a Boulder summer evening is not to be missed!

A Boulder must. Verona is great. Speed deserves a Tony! Great venue. Great prices. Super nice staff. Evening was coil and beautiful. Great characters and music

Just attended the first play of the 2022 season and after a rough couple of years, it's back and going well. I could not have recommended any of the plays last year, but they seem to be off on a good start this year. If COVID or anything else kept you from attending, it's time to give them another try.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the 2021 season. A few days before the show, I received an email with all the logistics I needed to know before the show. I felt like everyone put in so much effort to keep the playgoers, cast, and everyone else safe. The cast was superb and it was a very special evening.

Have been coming for many years. Always top notch productions and theatrical talent. Some of the best Shakespeare I've ever seen has been here (Macbeth reset in tribal Afghanistan for one of many). I almost always go to productions in the small outside ampitheater with no bad seats and very reasonable prices. My only complaint is the food/bev selection could be much better(although I realize it's a student production). Come on folks - at least a good coffee station and a couple sandwiches- this IS Boulder! Great restaurants on the hill close by are a good option. Overall, this is one of the best high quality theater bargains in the US. Don't miss it.
