We loved our afternoon at the zoo. There were animals roaming such as chickens and peacocks. Wallabies were also out. So many neat exhibits! Our kids loved it.

Its a small zoo and steep walking at times but a very nice zoo. They have a lot more animals that I thought they were going to have. There were several animals that I had not seen before so that was nice. We did not buy any food or drink so I can not coment on that. I do like the preorder tickets, it spaces people out so there is not so many there at once. Great place to take the kids.

My husband and I went early morning to explore what this Zoo has to offer! We were nkt disappointed. We fed the giraffes, explored all the grounds and grabbed a quick coffee at Cozy Goat!

Was not expecting all that we saw, this place is huge. I thought we saw every animal but looked at the mapping afterwards, so many we missed in the 2 1/2 hours we walked around. Very helpful staff and beautiful grounds. Thank you, I hope to come back again.

Absolutely one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to many! Great exhibits and aesthetics, lots of events and restaurants, and a gorgeous view of everything below!

Me parece que el zoologico está bien pero tenía más expectativas, las áreas donde tienen los animales sigue siendo muy pequeña, me pareció muy triste como tienen un animalito que parece un puerco spin y también demasiado triste como están las serpientes y reptiles no tienen nada de espacio, esas cosas de cristal es una tristeza para ellas , tienen que trabajar en ampliar más el zoológico y crear más una reserva donde los animales estén libres. El área donde está el leopardo es demasiado pequeña. Me imagine que era mucho más grande, pero me llevé una gran desilusión. Las instalaciones las tienen muy li.pias y bonitas, se ve que tienen bien alimentados los animales por ese lado quede tranquila pero sigo pensando en las serpientes en ese espacio tan reducido es inhumano. Por favor ampliar mucho más el zoologico donde tenga más espacio y volver a su habitad natural a las especies que aún puedan estar de nuevo en él.

En primer lugar, ¡muchas gracias por preocuparte por los reptiles! La mayoría de las veces, a la gente no le gustan o se muestran ambivalentes acerca de estas asombrosas criaturas. Realmente apreciamos sus comentarios sobre nuestra colección de reptiles en Scutes Family Gallery y entendemos sus inquietudes. Nuestro objetivo para la exhibición es atraer y educar a los visitantes a quienes normalmente no les gustan o temen a los reptiles, en particular los visitantes que tienen reacciones adversas a las serpientes. This is truly a great zoo but as a long term resident of the area and many year member of the zoo I'm really sick of their reservation system that sometimes works sometimes doesn't (when it doesn't we can't go and no one picks up the darn phone to help!). It makes it so we hardly use our membership which cost us nearly $300 for the year. They started this reservation system during the pandemic and decided it was more convenient to keep going with it so they don't have to run shuttles during peak times. All about the $$$ and super inconvenient for locals who like to go during the off times when they have a little time and are nearby the zoo. It's sad and my friends are all sick of it to. No one wants memberships any longer!

For the last three years, we’ve required timed ticketing to enter the Zoo. Colorado Springs has grown exponentially in recent years, and so has the popularity of the Zoo, so we're doing our best to preserve the natural, peaceful and recharging experience we can provide, which means limiting the number of people in the Zoo.
We are a nonprofit and one of the few AZA-accredited zoos that receives no tax support. To fund animal care, Zoo improvements, conservation, operations and education programs, we rely heavily on our admissions. Although we are grateful that we can offer an economic way for people to visit the Zoo multiple times per year through our membership program, we need to achieve a balance between membership revenue and non-member revenue. We do that by offering limited timed tickets for both.
In just three visits per year, a membership pays for itself. We hope our members can still get their value by planning ahead for spring and summer trips to the Zoo, and enjoy more spur-of-the-moment visits during the slower season. Don't forget - your membership also includes members-only night events in the summer, free Electric Safari visits in the winter and discounts on programs and merchandise.

We’ve never been to a zoo that lies against a mountain. The exhibits are aligned along a road that goes up the side of the mountain, yield panoramic views of Colorado Springs. The exhibits are multi-level, allowing guests to feed the giraffes “on the upper level”. The zoos has bears and lions and tigers and many other animals that are well-cared for. The gift shop and restaurant on site have a variety of trinkets, and clothes for all ages. Truly, worth the visit.

If you have younger kids...or even if you just want to yourself, feeding the giraffes is a highlight. Plus the location on the side of a mountain - they have several Rocky Mountain specific animals that you don't see in typical zoos - mountain goats, moose, etc. Well worth making the reservations.

Prices can vary due to time/dates while there is limited admission during the pandemic. It is best to check the prices on-line when you check to see if there are tickets to reserve for the future date you want. What someone paid in the past can have little relevance to your situation.
