It was good parking garage is available which is nice. Large gardens including bonsai area. Indoor tropical area was closed.

Very nice botanical gardens. My friend mentioned that the plants in Denver have a hard time surviving the harsh climate so don’t come here expecting everything to be in bloom and super vibrant. The buildings and water features are very pretty! Unfortunately during my visit the large greenhouse was closed so I didn’t get to see that, but I really enjoyed seeing the art exhibits that were installed for the season. I’d like to return when they decorate for the holiday season some time.

Spectacular, even in the late season. Lots of colorful blooms and textured grasses. I found navigating the gardens quite difficult and it lacked any kind of directional sign, but it was small enough that getting turned around wasn't terribly problematic. It was packed with people Labor Day weekend, but most were pretty cooperative in clearing out of pictures and such. A bit too small for five stars. Also, the pyramid-shaped education building is quite boring and under-utilized. Displays are very aged and unattractive. So much potential, but not even a good place to sit and rest for a minute. It needs a revamp badly!

As a Denverite, I’ve been to more than a few concerts here over the years, and have come to the conclusion it’s probably not worth the considerable expense. Hopefully, if you decide to be a concert goer anyway, at least you’ll be prepared. 1) you will receive an email supposedly prepping you for the concert. It will neglect to warn you that chairs above a certain height (about 30” I believe) aren’t acceptable. Water bottles are. 2) prepare to queue in a very long line under a hot sun for an hour before the doors open, and then walk VERY fast to grab your spot on the lawn (preferably the west side, never the east…you’ll see). A month of good aerobic workouts will come in handy. 3) despite the tight squeeze, your next door “neighbor “ will often complain you’re too close. Ignore them. 4) despite the warning to take conversations elsewhere during the performances, don’t be surprised that the music you’ve paid a significant amount of money to enjoy vies with the drunken braying of older wealthy patrons . No ushers around, so either prepare for subdued battle or try to tune them out. Good luck!

The gardens were beautiful and a great time to visit in the morning. We stopped for a break at the snack area and were able to enjoy the water garden view. Very walkable!

Such a peaceful and beautiful spot. Perfect place to go for reflecting and feeling gratitude. Sitting by the pond, feeling the sunshine, and listening to the streaming water. Can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in Denver.

Denver Botanic Gardens is a great way to spend a few hours strolling through beautiful flowers, plants, water features and many more exhibits. We enjoyed taking our time with plenty of places to sit and rest in the shade on a very hot day.

Went with daughters and son-in-law on fairly warm day. Nice Japanese gardens, ponds and native species indoor exhibits (to get respite from sun).

We’ve been to many conservatories and botanical gardens within the United States, and this one was amazing! It had beautiful flowers, numerous water features, and relaxing winding paths. There are so many benches to sit and relax, different directions you can explore, and a variety of plant sections. For example, it would have a section with a more arid climate plants while another section was like a forest. There were so many awesome sections that just kept getting better. Even the gift shop was great.

The view in the garden is absolutely gorgeous with many different species of plants. Some are very challenging to grow. The only complaint I have is I wish there could be a large board in front of each small garden with the names and the photos of each plant on them. For now there’s only a small name tag beside each plant that are hard to read and easy to get confused with other tags.

Does the Gardens have wheelchairs to loan and if so, can one be reserved? Where are the handicap parking spaces?

I did not see any wheelchair availability, but I did not look for that option either as nobody in our party required that type of assistance. There is parking available close to the Garden entrance, but it is somewhat limited so we parked off-street relatively close by. Not sure of the amount or availability of handicapped parking at the Botanical Gardens.

yes some parts of the gardens are wheel chair accessible, some parts you will need help to access it and some parts are not accessible by wheelchair.
They have a map when you get there that shows all the parts that wheelchairs will able to access.
