This was one of our first sightseeing stops in Western Colorado. The hike up to the cemetery was easy, somewhat lacking in nice scenery. The cemetery itself was peaceful and the connection to Doc Holliday was interesting. It was a fun way to spend a morning.

What an unexpected surprise when I found out that that Doc Holliday was buried here! I just booked a night in town while traveling to Las Vegas and had no idea the history here! The walk up the hill to the cemetery was not difficult but definitely gets your heart pumping! The views are amazing and you cant help but feel that this final resting place is special. What a gorgeous and peaceful cemetery!

Did an early morning hike from my hotel up to the cemetery. It’s a moderate hike up to the cemetery but the views are great. Definitely interesting to see the “gravesite” of Doc Holliday.

An exhilarating hike up with good views of the city and surrounding area along the way. Very interesting cemetery - more so about the many people buried there in the 19th Century than about Doc Halliday and Kid Currie. Fascinating information at the foot of the trail about moving all of the existing graves up to the current location for public health reasons.

Quite a hike for a short hike but well worth it, just be prepared. It's .7 mile & 200+ elevation change. Take water on a hot/warm day. Pretty cool piece of history. Kid Curry is also in the same area, but we didn't hike further.

A nice, brisk uphill hike with good views of the Glenwood Springs area. They created a grave to look at but the true location of Doc Holliday's grave is lost to history but close enough.

Admit it, unless you have family in this cemetery, you'll be wanting to come here because it's where famous gun slinger, gambler and dentist Doc Holliday is buried. There's a fenced off marker dedicated to our wild west hero (or villain, depending on your point of view), but the exact whereabouts of his burial site are actually unknown. Tucked away in another nook of the small cemetery is the gravesite of the lesser-known Kid Curry (had to look him up). It's a short 1/3-mile climb up a rather steep hill off a quiet residential street in Glenwood Springs to the graves and even though it was a quiet Monday afternoon in the fall, we were not the only ones there. Nice place to visit if you're into history and a good exercise at that.

The history here is amazing. Love the old headstones and fencing around the plots. If only gravesites could talk!

Took the hike up to see Doc's memorial. Fairly steep grade, but places to rest along the way. Need to get some steps in? This is the hike for you!

It is about a 15 minute walk. My 5-year-old did it with us so it is just a gradual climb up to the top of the hill. Bring walking shoes.
