On Thursday in the summer, this is an awesome place to be. Such a great downtown, amazing art ever 50 or so feet and lots of great shops and restaurants.

A hometown feeling with several good places to dine and shop. Tree lined with decent parking. Nice art sculptures abound. We knew this street in 1988 and a lot has changed for the better since then. Visiting from Arizona it was a nice return.

Not a large downtown area, but plenty of restaurants and shops to visit. The downtown area was remarkably clean and well-maintained. it was easy to walk around and there was a ton of art (statues) for viewing.

Lots of great sculptures to look at with decent restaurants to stop at. It seems like every time we go back they have more sculptures.

Pound-for-pound they must have the most public arts we have seen anywhere! Lots of interesting stores. I don't think I have seen so many bike shops in one place. interesting outdoor gear shops with unique merchandise. We ate at an Irish pub and a gourmet pizza shop both with excellent food, also serving local brews. The only downside, most shops close around 5PM. Overall loved downtown GJ. Very dynamic and lively town with lots to do and see.
The local hospital has one of the most high tech looking buildings I have ever seen. I know most hospitals are good looking but this one is something else. I read an article in one of the local papers about a heart patient who was successfully treated there and apparently they have world class doctors in the building too. OK GJ you get two thumbs up!!

This is a sweet downtown in a beautifully scenic area. Great restaurants for those with culinary interests, art, and cool vibes. Friendly people.

Dream Cafe had a great breakfast and there are blocks and blocks of various shops to investigate as you stroll. Such a quaint and vibrant downdown.

There are lots of little, local stores and many eateries with outside seating. We especially liked the art and the street design that slowed down traffic.

Somewhat quaint historic downtown district. Restaurants, antique shops (not everything was antiques, one such shop was selling diamond dotz pictures), hippie clothing shops, breweries, real estate offices, most of which seemed pricey for the area. Finding parking was a little difficult. We were there on a Thursday afternoon, so the main street was closed off around 430pm for their weekly farmer's market. The majority of the stalls that set up were anything but farm/produce related, and when my husband purchased two peaches from one of the stalls that was selling fruit, it was $6. The only really unique thing were the sidewalk sculptures that were everywhere, otherwise, not sure why the hype.

Wife and arrived a bit early for our flight from Grand Junction. So, drove around trying to find some things to see or do un the downtown area. Saw the University and Botanical Garden. Drive around what we thought was downtown. Didn’t see much worthwhile … hmm …

Are you able to tell me the name of the shop in main street downtown grand junction which sells indian souveniers/paintings/jewellery etc. I visited there in may and wanted to purchase through their website. Thankyou.
