Casa do Careto was inaugurated on February 22, 2004, with the aim of valuing, publicizing and preserving the rituals of the Caretos of Podence.
The Museum is made up of 3 areas:
* Small permanent exhibition of the carnival traditions of the village of Podence, associated with the Caretos, including the exhibition of their costumes, rattles, masks and all the clothing of these figures.
* Space for selling merchandising associated with Caretos de Podence, with the possibility of trying out "Being" Careto!
* Multipurpose for holding various events, seminars, and temporary exhibitions.
It is interesting to visit this space, to learn more about Caretos (Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO) and the village of Podence!

You know a little!
Small space but very well organized.
It would be important to have more information and interaction. There is only an explanatory video.
The space leaves the walls and feels like you can see it all over the village, so a visit at the end is recommended.
Products sold in the store must have a certificate of origin, it was a way of guaranteeing quality and promoting local artisans.

Visitei pela primeira vez o carnaval dos caretos em Podence. Muito interessante e peculiar. Tem que ser oferecidas melhores apoios sanitários à invasão de visitantes

Gostei da aldeia de Podence, o baloiço para mim foi a cereja no topo do bolo com vista para o Azibo. O museu podia ser um pouco mais interativo para atrair os mais pequenos por exemplo poderem mascarar se . Achei um pouco caro pois é muito pequeno.8 € família de dois adultos e duas crianças.

The small town is nice and the place is full of charm but the museum is VERY small. They could improve video&audio or maybe more panels.

30min visita é suficiente.
Espaço pequeno mas com uma exposição autêntica e simples, permitindo desde crianças a mais velhos, assim como estrangeiros compreenderem a importância dos Caretos de Podence, parece que existem perto de 30 na região sendo outro importante o de Vinhais.
A vila está muito melhor do que esperava, com muitas pinturas murais e espaços abertos. Boa conservação de edificios comparando com outras aldeias próximas.
