We recently saw a production of Dial M for Murder here. At &70/ticket, I expected more. The acting was mediocre with the exception of Kate Burton, who was very good. The theatre is charming, easy parking.

We saw local production of “Next to Normal”, our first time to this playhouse. Comfy seats, small so probably all seats are good seats but we had center Tier 1 which were great. Very powerful and well executed production, the themes of mental health, love and loss, marriage probably hit home with most in audience. Vocals were fantastic in this musical, acting very impressive. Parking available in its own lot. We will definitely return!

We attended a cabaret style charity benefit at the Playhouse on June 26th. The stars were Brad Simmons & Tonya Pinkins. What fantastic performances by both Broadway talents. Brad’s new song about his past painful life in Alabama and his now happy life in NY was especially moving. Kudos to him! Tanya has a voice of an angel! What a treat it was. All attendees were required to wear masks. And seating was socially distanced. So happy to see the stage alive again!

An excellent place to see a variety of plays, dramas, and shows; always with fantastic actors and musicians. Very comfortable seating, and warm environment - a wonderful place to see an evening show, or an afternoon matinee!
Mlima's Tale is a must see. A powerful, and emotionally heart-wrenching story of the tragic fate of African elephants in the hands of many evil people in the chain of wickedness and greed from the poachers to the smugglers, to the corrupt officials and custom officers, and to the collectors motivated by the desire to possess as a means of displaying wealth.

I’m not a fan of one man shows. This program was an exception. Hershey Felder is a talented pianist and storyteller. He has the ability to assimilate the essence of the character he portrays. The Westport Playhouse continues to present great productions. You owe it to yourself to give it a try.

Fantastic. Hershey Felder is a very talented pianist and actor. You could also credit him as a comedian. Impressive one man show. Not only were we entertained with all things Irving Berlin, we were also elucidated on classical composers at the end of the show. We had a great time. The Playhouse had an air conditioning failure the week before and pleasantly changed our tickets to the following Saturday. Excellent customer service. We sat in the center of the third row of the mezzanine and could not have been happier. I have attached a photo of our view.

I have been to the playhouse many times and this season they did Annie, In The Heights and Irving Berlin!! Very diverse plays/musicals and extremely talented actors/actresses.

Wonderful talent and great theater going!
Make a day of it with lunch before and happy hour after or enjoy an evening performance. Area restaurants are fabulous!
