Just returned from a September vacation in Dewey Beach. We spent quite a bit of time at Mama Maria's. Nico is a fantastic bartender. Food and drinks also great. I highly recommend.

Not my first choice in Dewey but they allow dogs in the bar and we were in town for the golden jubilee and wanted to catch up with friends. The bartender has been there forever and really makes the place fun but the drinks aren't very strong and the prices are more in line with what you'd expect to pay at a club with live entertainment. They have a jukebox but our friend put money in and the pushed skip when his songs came on, apparently one of the regulars didn't care for his choices. There was an extremely inebriated guy in there who slapped my husband on the back to say hello and just kept being annoying, touching all of us, waving his hands in front our faces, etc. and management never did anything about it. We did get some fries which were just ok but its bar food so whatcha gonna do.

Wow, started out the week hungry and wanting to chill after the long 6 hour drive. Saw this beach bar at the rear of Mama Maria's. We always seem to lock in on a go to spot when we go on vacation. This was it. The pizza was awesome and Nico the bartender was so welcoming. More like a hometown hangout not a tourist trap. Nico made the best simple Margarita I have tasted. We stopped back every evening on our way back to our room for a night cap. We might go back to Dewey just to see Nico and eat some of the best pizza I have had in a long time. I want to dig into that menu. We saw several people order a huge chef salad for two but we saw 3 and 4. Fun must stop while in Dewey Beach. Family oriented.

I have visited The Mama Maria bar a couple of times and it just gets better and better, everything I have tried on the menu is spot on. Also Nico is a great bartender, attentive and engages with his bar caustomers, five star service, Will return many more times

Wow!! great place to unwind at the end of the day after hanging out on the beach, sight seeing and shopping. Small beach bar connected to the Pizza restaurant. Nico the bartender is the absolute best; professional, attentive, friendly and courteous. Fun crowd!!

if you are looking for a great pizza, look no further than mama maria's. but if you are looking for great italian food in a sit down setting, you will be surprised to find it here at mama's. no ambiance, no frills, great food. there is a walk up pizza bar, a beach bar in this little gem of a spot in dewey beach, DE (aka party central). bring the family here, it's a safe haven away from the party of dewey beach. there is a bit of free parking in the back and free parking on monday's to wednesday's from 5--11pm in dewey beach. give mama's a try, guaranteed that you'll like it!

We had a total blast here 2 years in a row. Good music playing, good appetizers, nice people, friendly sit down and relax bar! Nico is the best bartender too....ask for his famous crush drinks...yummm

Was craving Italian food. Due to traffic, decided to stay in the town of Dewey. Before this visit, I only tried their pizza (which is great) but never anything else. Everyone at the table loved they ordered. Tried Mama Maria's Chicken Parmigiana sandwich and it was great. Waitress was efficient. Will definitely go to again! Like that you have the choice of bar, sit-down, or carry-out.
