My family and I really enjoyed our time at the Lavender Fields. It is a great place for a weekend excursion to relax and take in nature. The hospitality and service created a friendly atmosphere that allowed us to feel like we were hanging out in our own backyard.
Highly recommend checking out this diamond in the rough for a recharge and reset.

I have no idea what the last reviewer was ranting about. I’ve been to the farm for years, visiting every summer. The gardens are well maintained, the store has been reworked and is so much better than it was before. The renovations show a lot of thought and effort went into making the place pleasant and enjoyable. Tour the farm and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

The gardens recently changed hands. Unfortunately, my most recent visit makes me not recommend this place anymore. First, there are fewer gardens to see. Second, there are fewer items in the gift shop and prices are not clearly marked. Third, we were accosted immediately as we got out of our cars and yelled at by the owner that we (two cars) were driving too fast, even though there were speed bumps, cones, and signs saying “drive slow”. Fourth, after being asked by an employee why we mentioned this might be our last visit and as I was readying to make a purchase, the owner came and demanded that we leave the property and don’t ever come back. So we left without making a purchase and vowing to never return.

Went last year (~Aug 2023) and have been talking the place up to my family for the whole year. It was magical. In 2023, we happened to be there on a "festival" day, so we got live music, artists in residence, visiting artists, beautiful overgrown gardens, full weeping willow. They managed to make a fairly small area on the farm feel like it stretched for miles. Cottage shop sold wall-to-wall-to-wall lavender products, things they make on the farm as well as every imaginable lavender item. People loved it, they had homemade lavender cookies out and they got snapped up instantly. Everyone was friendly, funny, and kind.
Went again this year.... folks, it's not looking so good.
Since last year, the farm changed hands. Don't know the new owners, don't know what they're about. They've trimmed the gardens. Everything is sterile. The artist spaces have been converted into extra cafe seating, and the stage - once available for musicians and performances - is now cafe seating too. The "cafe" is a cramped little room with a chalkboard menu with an extremely limited selection, most of which doesn't even contain lavender. Kudos to the cafe staff - literally the only person who welcomed us, and that was when we were on our way out. Didn't get any of the food. Nothing appealed. Caters to a very adult crowd.
They still sell lavender plants, but the cottage shop has been reduced significantly. It's now limited *only* to products manufactured by the farm.... which isn't very much. The walls are a shabby-chic off-white and the first impression you get when you walk in is how empty the whole place is. Last year I was astonished at how many things could contain lavender. They had lavender infused olive oil, lavender spice mixes, lavender laundry products, scratch-and-sniff novelties. Now it's just soap, lip balm, and a couple of bags. The "bakery" items are just weird processed muffins with grease stains on the box. Gone are the kitschy trinkets celebrating Delaware, the photo reel of the farm cats. The shop clerk has only been here for a few months but knows nothing about the farm or lavender - something I do not blame the clerk for. They should have been better prepared by the owners.
I've rarely been to such a joyless place but the real tragedy is how they took a beautiful, lively, fun place and literally sucked every sign of life out of it. I wish I hadn't gone back and just kept the happy memories of the place it once was. If you've been before: Don't go back. It's not worth it.

A wonderful small farm run by the Gee family. Caitlin very friendly and knowledgeable. Many interesting items for sale in the cottage store. Good quick food in the cafe. Worth the trip.

A must see if you're in the area. Great gift shop. Well done and well maintained. We spent an hour ot two here. We like cats and there was one meandering around.

What a beautiful place! If you love pretty flowers, gardens, and especially lavender, it’s a great place to visit! The shop there has a lot of unique lavender based items. The staff were so kind and helpful.

Come when the lavender is in bloom,stunning site. Their shop has many good finds. I bought several cookie mixes and they were awesome. Lavender spray is great for calming and getting sleep. Just love this place.

By far my favorite place that we visited during our trip to Rehoboth. The lavender was not in bloom yet but you could walk among the rows and rows of lavender plants. There is a labyrinth that the children really enjoyed doing and that area of the farm was very peaceful. Gift shop on the premise is amazing with the choice of lavender items and of course lavender plants for sale too. The smell of lavender outside as well as the gift shop is ever present. The scent really is a relaxing, calming and soothing smell.

The lavender did not grow out as beautiful as I am sure it normally does so they gave each person a free plant with admission and there was still enough lavender to cut and bring home. It smells beautiful and we got fresh vegetable plants for $1 each. That was nice. The people were also very friendly and helpful. I would make it a yearly trip with my other fruit picking activities.

I don't believe all the lavender is in bloom that late- it begins in June- really the high point and is largely harvested by August. The farm is still fun to visit- they have vegetable and herb plants and wonderful lavender plants and products for sale.

Lavender hates being wet! I haven't been there this year but I believe now thru June would traditionally be showy there. Who knows how the rain will effect blooms.
