Took Archie to see Inside Out 2, went early as it was quieter for him. He’s never been to the cinema before but he loved it.
Drinks and food can be a little pricey but that was always the case at the cinema, but the seats the leg room everything was fantastic I can remember my backside going numb half way through a film, but this was like a reclining arm chair.
Staff were really friendly and attentive.
Perfect way to cap off the adventures we’ve been on during the summer holidays.

This cinema is such a luxury to have. It has reclining seats, wall to wall screens, surround sound, big spacious theatres and is reasonably priced (for a cinema).
I don't come here too often as it's quite a trek, but once I'm comfy there it's hard to leave. They really care about the viewing experience here which makes the films all the more entertaining.
There's little else to do within the cinema, unless you want a coffee, but there's the shopping district just a short walk away and there's several eateries surrounding it, so it's definitely a good choice of cinema.

From the moment I sat down in the cinema there was laughing and jeering from the white people in the cinema.I was asked to move from my seat by white woman who made a rude comment about my appearence before she asked me to move.I then moved two rows of seats right to the front.The white people were telling someone to go and sit on the front with me to harrass me.Then throughout the film they kept laughing, clearing their throats, and jeering at me from the middle and front.Then I got up and went to the toilet and came back in.This white woman had the audacity to make a complaint about me that I had disrupted the whole film.The guy even took me outside and said he was going to report to the manager and send more security inside to check what was really going on but no one came. They continued laughing and jeering and clearing their throats at me.
If you wear hijab,or are pakistani stay well clear of this cinema.This is the 2nd bad review Ive made about this cinema and I absolutely hate sitting in a white audience now to watch a film.

This is a wonderful place to see National Theatre Live productions. Comfortable, moveable seating as good as at home. Only gripe is National Theatre |Live tends to be filmed from a theatre (no kidding) and consequently has few loud sound effects. These can often be heard from the screens next door!!

Decided to have an ice cream to find Ben & Jerrys has been replaced with a bland tasteless poor quality non premium ice cream called Disottos . On a positive note though I left most of it so saved the calories !! Cookies & cream had never seen cream , tasty & quality is what I would assume a supermarket value ice cream would taste like .

Made a complaint about noise levels inside the showing but the manager and her assistant she was stood with couldn’t care less. Paid good money to watch a film for a group of adults to talk all the way through it, no offer of compensation or even a sorry! They want you to get up and go tell them so they can then come in and tell them to stop! Good one! When it’s a quiet cinema and they will know it’s you that’s been and grassed so they can wait outside for you!

I attended the showcase today for the first time in a number of years and the first time since I've become disabled and require use of a walking aid. I called to discuss accessibility before hand and the staff member was very helpful.
On the day staff were friendly and helpful i was disappointed to see the tango ice blast machine had been removed and there was now only a normal slush machine. However the large reclining chairs are amazing and showcase still can't be beaten even with the removal of the tango machine.

Staff where very quiet but helpful when asked. Chairs in this cinema are best I’ve experienced at the movies. Going to try the big screen (lux) next week for Jurassic Park 6. Overall a good experience.

Had my daughter's 8th birthday party as part of an organised package. Children all received a snack bag of sweets/chocolate, popcorn, an ice cream tub and drink. A party room isn't available at this venue but an area was corned off for us to use in the bar area both before and after the showing.
I can't fault the staff who saw to us during our time there. All were extremely friendly, professional and made the party feel extra special.
The cinema was clean and well presented. The reclining chairs as standard in the screens is certainly a welcome bonus (and particularly enjoyed by the children).
Will definitely recommend to friends and family as a choice for birthday celebrations. In regards to children's birthday parties also felt it was value for money.

Go here regularly as we use Meerkat Movies which makes it a great value outing. The Costa Coffee is great and reasonably priced and the staff are all friendly and efficient. What Showcase does have is great, large relaxing recliner seats that the competition doesn’t offer. So when people complain about prices, bear this in kind. Especially in this day and age.

Showcase - LEEDS. How do I access the advertised ear phones for partially deaf. I emailed via ticket office and they answered telling me to telephone the cinema. The telephone number is automated. I recently saw the new JK Rowling movie, but found the sound very low and I wasn't able to hear or follow the film. I want to see it again - with sound.

Ruth. I called into Showcase Leeds today and spoke to a very helpful Assistant there. Apparently the headsets/earphones for Audio Description films are given to you by the Ushers you hand your ticket to and who also direct you the theatre in which your film is being shown. They also instruct you in how to operate the headsets. The lady Assistant said she was not 100% certain but she believed AD was not available for 3D films. If you (or someone on your behalf) wants to speak direct to Leeds Showcase to firm up on any details, the telephone number is 01924-420622 (this goes direct to the ticket desk and don't worry that the tel no. has a Wakefield STD code and not a Leeds code. Showcase Leeds was regarded as sounding better than Showcase Batley or Showcase Birstall when it was being built - B & B landlines all have Wakefield STD code numbers). Hope this helps you. Kim

That question is too hard to answer. It changes depending on the day and whether you're seeing a 3D or X Plus film. You need to go on their website, select a film to buy tickets and then see how much it'll cost. The at cinema purchase price will be the price shown minus booking fee which is charged only online. You might find it cheaper to go on a Tuesday or Wednesday with meerkat movies

They all have reclining seats now. The x plus is a floor to ceiling screen and is a much better experience for 3D films.

Yes. We saw something in Auditorium 7 recently and it had the same seats as the others we have visited. In fact, ALL the auditoria we have visited have had the same reclining seats (so I would imagine all 15/16 auditoria do?) Only real difference between the various ones is obviously size/number of seats each as far as I can tell.
