Very cliquey atmosphere, appalling language , very homophobic , unfriendly bar staff , very slow service , if you like cricket you will be fine . Would never return .

Had a weekend away and spent my evenings in this pub. Had an amazing time. The food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and so were the locals. I will be having another weekend away in Barnetby purely so i can return to this pub. There was a karaoke on the Saturday night and i had so much fun. Really enjoyable weekend!

We stopped at the whistle and flute for our goddaughter‘s wedding room was excellent free sky TV bar staff excellent and welcoming even customers were welcoming and chatty. I’m getting up in the morning went and sat outside and the lady that does the cleaning made us a cup of tea and a cup of coffee very chatty and pleasant upon going into the breakfast room the lady that was
serving breakfast was out 10 out of 10 for presentation and taste will gladly use whistle and flute if the need arises in the area Keith and Lorraine would recommend anybody to stay here

Brilliant bar staff. We asked for something that wasn’t on the menu and they did it without hesitation. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Definitely going again. Felt so welcome.

As the only pub in Barnetby-le-Wold, and being the Railway pub, we were unsure about what to expect from there for a meal. Reviews hadn't been encouraging!
However, the drink was excellent and unbelievably cheap, the food was also excellent and service was superb.

After travelling a long distance on a Sunday I was looking forward to dinner in the hotel as previously arranged. However when I arrived I was told there was no food being served on a Sunday. I was directed to a local chinese takeaway and in a token of disappointment I brought back the food and ate it in the beer garden with a pint. Later that night I was told where breakfast was being served and the next morning I went for breakfast and was advised by the cleaners that management hadn't informed them that I was taking breakfast. However, the cleaners stopped their work and mastered up a monstrous cooked breakfast within fifteen minutes I salute them for their professionalism.

a few of us went on saturday to have a drink after finishing paintball. an excellent place offering a great choice of drinks. were tempted to stay for a meal but maybe next time.

Had a great evening, which started with a very nice meal in the restaurant before watching the act. We topped this by booking a room ( nice and clean) so we could fully enjoy the evening and ended our stay with a full english breakfast in the morning. Special thanks to the staff and management for making our stay enjoyable.

Kaz & I with 4 friends went for a meal on sat 4th we all had different meals they all came together and was a vast improvement than earlier in the year staff very friendly and helpful, we will be going back
