“Can’t believe it took 4 years to find this gem!”

“Great visit for Smithsonian Day”

Wide ranging collections from prehistoric Florida to sculpture garden to Coca-Cola memorabilia to race cars to private railroad carriages. Planetarium reopened in September 2023 after extensive renovation and modernization.

I’ve been visiting the area since my student started college in Daytona. It took his senior year to find this amazing museum. SO MUCH to see! Fantastic display of WEBB vs Hubble photos. The gallery annex was an even bigger treat. Stunning collection of original art. Well done MOAS! Well done! I’m going to need more time next visit

Great visit for Smithsonian Day

2022年9月

Went with my wife and teen daughter for the first time using free tickets for annual Smithsonian day. It was a wonderful day trip and we spent several hours wandering throughout the various wings. We enjoyed the paintings, classic cars, pottery, and the giant sloth skeleton. It was cool comfortable and intriguing. There was plenty of room to explore and we really enjoyed our visit.

Very surprised.

I was bored. Kept asking myself....where are the dinosaurs? Then one room had the most fascinating story and a surprise that after the movie I had to go back to again. Don't miss the outside instruments, either.

maybe the girls were a little too young for this

My niece and I were excited to share the museum with her two girls, ages 5 and 3. That turned out to be not quite as we'd hoped, but still quite enjoyable. For instance, we thought the girls would like the Giant Prehistoric Sloth; no, but they did enjoy the diorama with the sloth. We thought they would enjoy the children's area in the museum; not really, but they liked playing with the cars. We thought they would like to see the stars in the Planetarium... but it was too dark for them. Their favorite place in the entire museum? The storage area, with all the art work behind glass walls! LOL! I'm glad we all had fun!

Wide range of Art and Science

This museum is great! There is a wide range of things to do and see here. Museum features furniture, and art along with many other artifacts including a giant sloth from Florida. The Coca-Cola collection was also nice. The visible storage room is great instead of these items being hidden in storage. There is even a planetarium with daily shows. Unfortunately the preserve was closed due to storm damage. Spent several hours here.

Cool place to go check out.

Very interesting place. Great variety of things. Some art, some history, some science. The planetarium was small but very nice. You could spend a short time there or all day as there is a lot to read and look at. They have special days for locals and Bank of America card holders that can get you in for cheap or free (I cannot remember what they said exactly).

Museum for Everyone

Outstanding group of Museums. Plan on spending the day. The art museum covering pictures of Florida from well known artists over the late 1800s to present with excellent signage for the artist and about the painting.
The science part covered a great exhibit on the Root family covering some vehicles, including formula one type race cars, two observation train cars, a teddy bear exhibit and early Coca Cola machines and point of sale equipment.
There is a children's museum, furniture display and finally a planetarium. All well done and worth a visit or more.

Worth some time away from the beach

Excellent space, good variety of exhibits. The kids section is very well done and engaging. The planetarium show was also a big hit with our group.

Interesting museum

This was a cool place to visit. I was sweating because it was warm in there. Otherwise, it has a nice collection of different things. I especially loved the rail cars. It’s a collection of a bygone era. They have the largest display of coke products I’ve ever seen.
