I have gone fishing with captain Scott for years since I was a little kid and we always come home with supper. No matter the conditions his knowledge and insight will always put you on the bite. Through the years we’ve caught endless snapper, tarpon, rodeo winning king mackerel, barracuda, trigger fish, and red fish. Can’t recommend enough.

Big thanks to Captain Scott for putting us on the fish!! We caught fish on every cast!! We caught a wide variety of fish from Red snapper to some humongous Amber Jacks!

While on vacation I stay off of social media however I must share! My family and I had an amazing experience deep sea fishing! Captain Scott was awesome! He was a very knowledgeable guide and captain! He definitely was aware of what we wanted out of our fishing experience and delivered! We first caught our live bait, including, cigar minnows, piltred, pinfish, squirrel fish, and blue runner. All of which lead us to catch amberjack, trigger fish, grouper, red snapper, black snapper, and vermillion snapper! Only the snappers were in season, so that’s all that we could keep (19 of them) The point of this post, is not for bragging, it is that if anyone ever offers or suggests deep sea fishing (at least, in the gulf) you should do it! It was a blast! Courtesy of my fishing obsessed 14 yr old birthday boy! 😂🤣😂 and yes, he killed it, like I knew he would! After our fishing trip, both boys remarked how we should make this a new family tradition. It was really fun for the entire family! We did a 6 hour trip, as was recommended in other forums.

My father in law, my 16 year old nephew, and I went out with Captain Scott into the gulf this morning and caught red and black snapper along with a few other kinds. It was a blast. It was my nephew and I’s first time deep sea fishing and Captain Scott was more than gracious with us. He showed us what to do and he gave us pointers when we needed them. We were always on top of the fish which made it even easier.
Captain Scott knows everybody and everybody knows him so you’ll quickly feel like a Destin native yourself. That’s half the fun. It was a great trip and we will definitely be doing it again next time we’re in town!

Captain Scott is the best captain I have every fished with, and I have fished with several. He is very personable and knows where to catch fish. I told him i wanted to catch an amberjack and did i ever catch em. He let me catch 6 of them in about 30 minutes. These were not small fish they were 36 inch amberjack. I could barely lift my arms afterwards, but it was a blast. No matter what species your after Scott can put you on em. I look forward to fishing with him this fall.

Captain Scott is one of the best! I highly recommend and will be back. You can expect to catch fish in the bay and gulf. Speckled Trout, Red Snapper, Amberjack and many more.

Captain Scott is the best!! He is so good, 2 other fishing guides approached us, while fishing, and asked him where the fish are! Hahaha, good thing we didn't go with anyone else. Captain Scott got the right bait which resulted in each of us 4, each catching 5 large trout, including one 25lb Red Drum! It was amazing! He baited all our hooks, fileted the fish we caught, and recommended a great restaurant that cooked up our own catch! He's funny and made it a fabulous day for us. He truly is the best. We won't go with anyone else......especially since we saw 2 other guides with 0 fish.

Spent two days fishing with Capt. Scott in October 2016 during the Destin Fishing Rodeo, and the best way to describe it is: "nonstop action"!
Day 1 was a half-day trip. We started off bottom fishing for snapper and grouper. We QUICKLY caught our limit of red snapper, as well as a fat mangrove/black snapper. Also had a couple larger fish break off. From there, we trolled offshore and probably had 10+ strikes in a little under 2 hours. Main fish were big kings and a couple monster cudas! Also caught an 80-100 sandbar shark (see pic below) that fought like horse!
Day 2 was another half-day. Weather conditions were a little tough tho this didn't matter. Capt. Scott has a deep knowledge of the region, and knew the best spots and times to fish. In the first part of the trip, we caught several groupers and a jack cravelle in the bay area. In the second half of the trip, we trolled offshore and caught 3 large fish in about an hour. 2 were large kings; one of which placed in the rodeo (see pics)! The 3rd was a big, gnarly cuda! We could have fished longer but decided to come in, weigh the fish, and grab some beers at AJ's.
Highly recommend Capt. Scott with "On the Bite" if you're ever in the area!!

We had a great time. The waves were a bit much that day so Captin Scott took us to the bay. He knew exactly where the fish were. I won the Spanish mackerel daily at the Destin fishing rodeo and we caught enough fish to eat like kings for days! I've been on a few fishing tours and this was by far the best. We will be going back!

Captain Scott of On The Bite Charters is awesome! He showed my husband and me a thrilling time deep sea fishing. I won 2 "daily's" in the Destin Fishing Rodeo with my 31 lb King Mackerel and my husband is leading as of today with his 37.4 lb Barracuda. Captain Scott knows his stuff and made it a fun & memorable day. We got 2 more groups from our condo to join Captain Scott that week. We will return in May for another trip !
