We came straight here from the airport and got onto the beach. We found a parking lot with metered parking only one block from the beach without any searching. The promenade area adjoining the beach is clean and the beach itself was gorgeous. The water was so clear you could see straight to your feet. It was also very warm for November with no waves so people of all ages could get in and enjoy the water. We loved it!

Other than people generally don’t show enough respect for others in public anymore, this was a good experience. The water was warm and seemed clean enough. I’m terrified of seaweed which is weird. There were some rather large moon jellyfish enjoying the water too. I was a little leery of them but the sting is not something to generally be concerned about. There iare lifeguards on duty. There was no obvious criminal activity going on and I felt like the people around would not tolerate beggars and petty thieves which is a good thing.
I feel really sad to see the decline in self respect that women have. There is nothing like showing up on a beach with nothing on and a less than modelling body to say “I am a cheap s^%*…. “. Honestly. It’s gross to see everyone’s private parts and fat ugly buttocks giggling on an otherwise nice beach with kids around. Shame on people who raised these young women who now demonstrate such stupidity.
There are no vendors on the beach which is nice. It’s actually a nice place to chill out and enjoy the GLORIOUS weather in Fort Laderdale.

Beautiful white sandy beach. Enjoyed a morning walk on the beach while taking a dip in the ocean to cool off. Water temperature delightful and very clean.

Much better beach than Miami Beach have a nice walk on Las Olas Blvd and go over the bridge to find many restaurants options

It is a really nice beach ⛱️. Lots of family's, couples having a great time. You can see the big ships coming in. Lots of fun.

Much better beach than South Beach, much better prices than in Miami, I have to say that after been at this beach I don’t think I will come back to Miami Beach, at least not for now

Very crowded on weekends. Hotels and apartments throughout for stays . Walk to the beach kind of area . Beautiful views. White kind of sand ,they have benches and chairs to sit . I saw umbrellas here and there . Snack shops and resturants all close by.

Hermosa playa, de arena blanca y agua transparente y tibia. La única contra es qué hay que pagar parking si te alojas lejos de la costa como nuestro caso. Cuanto más cerca de Las Olas Blvr, más concurrida. La rambla es muy bonita.

Is there much sea weed on the beach? We arrive end July
Staying in Lauderdale by the Sea since the end of June. Full of Sargassum. BIG problem. I could deal with if it was just washed up on sand, but it is in shoreline from about 10-15 ft out and it is blanket of sargassum. We’ve been here since the 26 of June and it’s been like this since we’ve gotten here. We’ve been at the pool most of the time. It’s not the hotel’s fault. It’s happing all throughout the south east, Caribbean and Mexico. Summertime is the height of seaweed season.

Which of the F. Lauderdale beach hotels offer beach chairs - and a stay that wouldn't be overly crowded? Any help is appreciated! Any other beach locations in South Florida you recommend staying outside of F. Lauderdale? Miami beach is too nuts.
