Wir haben den Manatee Park in Fort Myers und das Manatee Viewing Center in Tampa nicht besucht, da zu dieser Jahreszeit Manatees in den aufgewärmten Gewässern der Kraftwerke sich nicht aufhalten. (Dies bestätigen eine Vielzahl von Review Kommentaren) Wir sahen aber Manatees in freier Wildbahn auf Sanibel Island im "J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge" und in der Hafenbecken der "Flamingo Marina" des Everglades National Park.

This was so much fun! It was inexpensive and we got to kayak and see Manatee's up close. One even raised up and showered me with a spray. They are not always in these waters but when they are this is a truly great park and adventure. We had a mini family reunion and the waters are calm enough for everyone. Our group had pre-teens up to 80-90 year olds and everyone had a great time.

Dirty towels, dirty walls, bad odor. We had to go to the Front Desk to change the towels three times.

I paid for it but the hotel said it was declined but it was still token out of my bank account. I was a few hrs to fix the problem and then I was charged 2 times

Close to ft Myers and easy to get to. Guaranteed manatee’s in season lots a spots to see them. Go early from site parking

Bed and easy chair are broken down and need replaced. Numerous light bulbs missing. Had to steal one from a nightstand light for the desk lamp. Could not find anyone to check out at 7:30am - needed to make a flight an hour and a half away. Parking is terrible - long walk to a staircase carrying luggage. Air conditioner was off when I arrived my room. Over 80 degrees in the room with very high humidity. Cooler outside with a temp of 90 degrees. Soaking wet with sweat just getting bag into room. This can't be good for the air quality in the room. Probably why I had headaches my entire stay including a sinus infection.

Great place to rent kayaks. You can see manatees, turtles, and alligators, and it's a nice park to walk around & see the manatees in season.

Went to this park to kayak. It was great! Saw manatees right next to me and they even went under my kayak. You really see them great from this perspective. Plan on doing this again in the near future.

This was a complete gem and we highly recommend it. The park is modest but well kept and loaded with wildlife. The manatees come up the river when the gulf is cold - we lucked out as they were ample in late March. The river is lovely and easy to kayak & you can rent them by the hour, launch your own or take a guided tour. It was a perfect afternoon activity.

Nice green space inlet where manatees congregate when the water temperatures are cooler. Small gift shop with bathrooms onsite. Pay to park. There is a naturalist who talks about manatees and is interesting .

The manatees' travel and 'activity' is governed more by water temperature than the time of day. You can call Manatee Park and they can tell you (not an exact science) if manatees are in the park and, if so, how many.

There is a gift shop and some educational displays but there will probably be no Manatees as the warm water from the power plant is their draw in the colder winter months

Here definitely NO.
However on Crystal River, I accidentaly walked on one.
Many years back.
I was shocked, when I realized that. The Manatee just continued grazing and never moved. We had come in by plane and had seen them by the dozen.At water level we saw none. That' s why I walked on one, thinking I climbed on a rock.
