Strange to see all of these good reviews because that's why we went with this charter and had a horrible experience. We booked a morning and got switched to the afternoon, so maybe he just wanted to be rid of us, but we have been on many fishing charters and this by far was our worst experience. It was like booking the Ritz-Carlton but getting a Motel 6 experience. We paid for a 6-hour trip and left at under 4 hrs, because it was so intolerable. It bordered on bizarre how this charter was run. The "first-mate" was an inexperienced 15 year old boy who literally grabbed the fishing pole out of my husband's hands twice and reeled it in. The trolling lure was run on top of the wake 10 yards from the boat. When they saw any floating piece of wood he would stop the boat and the first-mate would run out to the bow and cast a ballyhoo and the captain would cast once sometimes and then after 2-3 minutes drive to another spot. One of the motors would trim-up on it's own mid-run and the boat had to be stopped twice to deal with that. The pole and reels were low-end and not in great shape. The whole set-up was sub-par. When my husband told the "captain" we wanted to fish too, not just watch them fish, he said we 'were welcome to pick up a pole' and appeared aggravated. With his attitude, we told him to take us back. We paid for the full trip, but used under 4, and then he again appeared aggravated when we did't give him a tip!

We went for Mothers Day, Capt. Charlie was professional, knowledgable, fun & engaging, we had a blast! Caught some yellowtail, and some amazing memories. We will see you Mother's Day 2019 for sure!

What a great time we had. The captain was very interesting to talk to and incredibly knowledgeable about fishing and the keys. Boat is first rate and very comfortable to ride in. Fishing was great, we were hooked up almost as soon as the bait hit the water. Wish I could give them 6 stars the experience was so wonderful.

We had a great 1/2 day trip today with Captain Charlie. We were pulling in yellowtail left and right. Also a beautiful Spanish makerel and a big black grouper we were unable to keep due to season rules. Charlie worked hard keeping the fish interested behind our boat. Caught 20 fish total and already had an awesome lunch from some of it prepared at Lazy Days. Thanks again, Captain Charlie!

Spent 3 days early March. Captain Charlie and First Mate Chad were awesome. Worked their tails off to put us on fish. Lots of different species all different ways.

We had such a great time! When we got there the boat was clean and ready to go. They took us to a great spot that we started catching fish in 5 minutes of arriving. We caught a BIG Mackeral and many snappers. After catching our eating fish they took us to try and catch a big barracuda. We hooked a great one...but it was the one got away. We cooked.our fish for lunch at the place right by the dock. It was awesome!We had teenagers, adults from age of 40 to 70. Would 100% recommend. Captain Brandon, Chad and Shane were so informative and fun to fish with. This trip is a must if u are in the keys!

Captain Chad took myself and boyfriend out to a reef about 20 minutes from shore. We caught fish nonstop once we got out there and we didn't have to switch locations which left us more time for fishing. Lots of yellowtail snapper, grey snapper, hound fish, grunt fish, and pork fish. Chad was very attentive, constantly baiting our hooks, taking care of a snapped line and chumming the waters. We also stopped over at another spot trying to hook a shark or barracuda (no luck). We caught our limit of snapper, and Chad filleted and bagged them for us to take at the end. Overall great experience and would book with them again.

From start to finish – the best fishing trip we had in Florida ever. Brandon took us out to a great spot and we caught plenty of fish – yellowtail mostly.
We then moved to a different spot in order to try for some bigger fish – ended up catching a foot 3 foot barracuda.
We enjoyed it thoroughly and heartily recommend !Brandon! to anyone looking to enjoy the keys fishing experience – well actually catching some fish that you can then go and eat!

Have fished on 5 star sportfishing charters several times and always had a great time and caught many fish. Last trip in March had our limit of fat yellowtail snappers.

Overall a great experience. We fished a half day of 7-11am. A very skillful and knowledgeable Chad showed us exactly what to do to catch Yellow Tail Snapper. We pretty much didn't stop catching them once we got out there. Chad was great in making sure we had everything we needed and were having a good time. He asked if we wanted to try to catch a Barracuda and sure enough we landed a big Cuda. He really knows his way around this area. He cleaned our fish and snapped a few pics for us at the end. Great dude. Great experience.
The only small issue I had is we bought this at the Groupon rate of $475 for a half day of reef fishing and the owner Brandon asked we pay gratuity based off their regular rate of a half day which is $950. $950 for half day sounded like an offshore price but a I said it was a small issue and because Chad was great we didn't mind tipping him what he earned.
