Wow what a great place to explore for a few hours. They have so much here to look at and do and learn. Museum, tortoises, rescued birds, lots of hiking trails, a cool house on the point and my favorite, a fish pedicure! All the employees we encountered were so friendly!

Arrived at 4:15 p.m. and the entire park was closed. Not only the museum, but also the access to the various trails.

Very nice place to spend a couple hours. Don’t miss Charlie and Rocco the tortoises . Make sure you go to the end for a pedicure by fish! (It tickles). The gift shop is one of the most reasonably priced. Jessica was very knowledgeable and friendly!

Definitely will be back. Bring quarters to feed the fish and definitely take the guided tour if you have never been before. The fish pedicure was a treat. They also offer a veterans and military discount.

THIS is a hidden treasure on Marathon Key! We really enjoyed our visit to Crane Point Hammock. The price was very good. We took the guided tour (included) with volunteer Tim and it was amazing! He pointed out all the unique trees, critters and buildings on this incredible property. I definitely recommend this experience!

I definitly recommend a stop at Crane Point as a true Florida Keys experience. This huge land trust site in a natural state is exceptional and unique to the keys. The historic Adderley House built in 1904 was my favorite spot on the site and really helps you appreciate how hard the early conchs worked to live in the keys to make their way and build their homes. There is so much to see as you walk the well maintained paths to explore the native plants and see the BAY VIEWS! Very relaxing too! Kid Friendly!

Interesting activity to do in Marathon.
There is a large park with paths to walk.
There are some adventurous paths, otherwise you can keep your feet on dry land.
Small animals to observe and a fishpedicure spot.

Once past the outdated side of the museum part, the walk on a path through the local vegetation and the arrival on the bank is very pleasant, calm, relaxing and uncrowded. A nice and pleasant little moment, far from the noise of the main road and the crowds of the beaches of Marathon.
Apart from the unfavorable value for money, it remains a pleasant moment to take if the opportunity presents itself.

This was beautiful! So many interesting things! I suggest you wear sunscreen and very comfortable shoes and bring water. The fish pedicures were a delightful experience. It tickles. I recommend this experience highly.

How is it after the hurricane ? Are all the trees down like in the rest of the keys ?

While we did loose trees and landscaping we have cleaned up and are rebuilding to be better than before. Everything is green again and growing strong.
