Strange how this is a big park and there is nowhere to workout calisthenics. There should at least be some kind of calisthenics equipment or something to keep people fit. All you can do here is walk.. ridiculous.

Why Have you all not invested in work out equipment for the lakefront? No calisthenic bars? Nothing. Please add workout equipment for outside

This park is amazing. Water, wildlife, greens, food, park benches, a children's splash pad, and bike trails checks all the boxes. Gorgeous!

Nice area for relaxing. Not busy at this time, you can walk by the sea. The park is near the old town centre so can also walk over there.

a lovely place to visit, have a stroll and relax away from the crowds.
free parking pretty much everywhere
its lovely just walking along the waters edge, lovely open green space for the kids to run safley and a cute little playground with little water splash area

Great playgrounds for young kids, also lots of open space to run around, go for a walk on the lake ground. We use this area to burn of extra kid- energy

The park is amazing! Not overly crowded, great bike paths and nice picnic areas. We brought the kids for a picnic and afternoon fun in the splash pad. However, the ice cream truck music was SO LOUD we couldn’t hear each other! We thought he’d sell for a few minutes and move on but he parked and stayed for the entire half hour we were there, so we left and moved to the other side of the park.

Are alcoholic beverages allowed in the picnic area? A bottle of wine, for example.

We didn't have alcohol, so I cannot answer conclusively, but the area is wide open and not actively monitored. Would non expect a problem so long as you are discrete.

The question you should have asked is how many gator attacks against people have been reported at the lake, that would give you an idea of how safe it is. My estimation from experience is zero for the number of attacks that occurred out of the lake's water line.
