“First time launching a boat at Marco Island”

Great park at the southern end of Marco

A number of kayak and stand-up paddle board rental companies deliver right to this park. There's easy access to the water via a boat ramp, and a fair amount of parking, though the parking lot does fill up fast during certain times of the year. Putting in the water from here gives you easy access to the sandbar in Caxambas pass, Dickman's Island, and various other places south of Marco. It would be a long paddle to get to the domes off Cape Romano, but an easy trek via a powered boat.

Just a boat ramp, a few short docks, and a tiny area along the side to fish or look out over the water. We saw some wildlife, a pelican resting and a ton of minnows.

Took our Tour from here

We went on our tour with Florida Adventures Cape Romano/Shelling..
Marina is very clean . great boat ramp.

Park for the public!

You can enjoy going out from here to shell, see dolphins, etc. Nice park with facilities and views of water. Places to park!

Caxambas Pass Park

This area is a great spot to get close to the water. It has a big parking lot (free). It has a good boat ramp. Rest Room and a dock that people fish from. This ramp gives you access to open waters on the 10 thousand island side of Marco. Nice spot.

Surprising pleasure

Went to catch boat for shelling trip, but it was nice to see a less-developed side of the island and watch the many fishermen (human and avian).

Best Kayaking and Shelling Day Ever

This is the best spot around southwest Florida (Marco Island) - easy accessible to unload kayaks and park. For $4 each with your own Kayak, best deal in town. You can kayak to many beautiful beach islands in as little as 10 minutes. We went for the day, packed a lunch and walked, shelled and kayaked 3 islands. Absolutely beautiful....we saw dolphins, flying fish, large conch (alive), sand dollars, coral and found some rare shells...we are going back

Beautiful place

To be honest there isn’t a lot to do at Caxambas park but it’s extremely peaceful watching the fishermen and if you’re extremely lucky you will see dolphins swimming by. On our visit we actually saw a huge tarpon jump out of the water, it was magnificent, a local said they had never seen that happen before. My grandson who’s 3 beat all the other fishermen and caught 6 little fish, he thoroughly enjoyed our time there and that is worth everything.

Great for kayaking

We enjoyed this park as we paddled next to dolphins and found some nice seashells. We rented kayaks from a friendly outfit called Paddle Marco and they were great to deal with and had reasonable prices.

Great for fishing and for live bait

Helpful, friendly staff quickly prepared our live bait order. Prices are not unreasonably high. Also can fish off the point.
