Must if you go near the area. They rebt umbrellas and seats bit you can take your owns too. Bunch of places to buy nearby either way.

Beautiful beach. Lots of shells. Sand was so pretty. Kid friendly. Don’t have any complaints. Had to pay for parking but that was expected!

Marco Island is not for us. Very snooty people. Nothing much to do. Beaches are ok. We prefer Fort Myers Beach. People are so much friendlier. When eating out, staff at restaurants were very friendly, but overall the people on Marco Island are SNOOTY. We never go back.

We stayed at the Charter Cub of Marco Island and we have been coming here for more than 16 years every year. We like that the resort only has 80 units and we always go before kids are out of school so it’s quiet and peaceful. Lol The beach is a few yards away and the pool is right downstairs. The staff is friendly. The activities are ok. Mainly suited for the younger than 60 crowd or the more active seniors which we’re not. But they have bikes , tennis, bouchée ball, ping pong, hobbie boats, games and other activities at scheduled times, even Margarita time. All and all we enjoy coming down and meeting up with family.

Great weather, other sea shell collectors out and about. Very peaceful at that time of the day! Always enjoy simply listening to the the waves.

Plenty of space on the beach, plenty of sea shells. If you aren't there early enough you don't get a great parking spot, if one at all.

Used to be nice. Used to be tranquil. Now it is crowded with rude people? Who leaves dirty diapers on the beach? Who thinks it is ok to set up beer pong and loud music 2’ from people reading? No longer the paradise it used to be.

No public restrooms on or near beach, not a good situation for families. Nice big beach, a few small shells.

Great place to relax, enjoy a beverage, watch people, and especially enjoy a sunset. Was not crowded late on Sunday afternoon in early December. Parking is a challenge, especially in midday--we found spot easily in the $10 public lot at about 3:30 though (machine was not functioning--sorry Marco, we owe you next time! This lot would certainly be worth it though--only 1 block, cross street, down tree-lined path another block to the beach. Good location and seemed well-kept, with toilet facilities.) Beach appeared family-oriented, diverse, mix of locals, tourists, day-trippers.

There is a parking lot across the street and another lot about a quarter mile north. They are not big lots, and they do fill quickly so I would recommend you get there early and maybe even avoid on a Holiday weekend. A lot of it depends on the time of year as well.

So, it might be a bit late to answer this question. I'm not totally clear on what "thongs" are for men. I have seen a few men wearing those Speedo type swimwear; most wear traditional swimming trunks. Marco Island is fairly conservative in my opinion.
Do this beach have alot of rocks in the water?” are they alot of seaweed there? How clear/blue is the water?

There are not a lot of rocks but there are a lot of shells. We did not notice a lot of seaweed. The water is very clear and is more green than blue but depending on how sunny it is/weather conditions the shades change. Hope you enjoy!

The Hilton Hotel runs good specials in the summer but that may change now that they've done a big renovation. It's worth a try. However, check out VRBO, AirB&B and Homeaway. Some property owners run seasonal specials or last minute specials on condos and/or homes. That can be a much better and actually less expensive alternative to a traditional hotel/resort for those who don't mind possibly not being right on the beach.
