Great park, crappy food! My first experience at a MLB game was 20+ yrs ago in Cincinnati. One of the things that gave me nostalgia was the incredible chili dogs! After moving to south Florida, my husband and I decided to go toa Marlins game at LoanDepot park. We were very excited! The stadium was very clean and having seats behind visitors dugout was amazing! Needless to say, I was looking forward to ordering that classic baseball food. I ordered a chili dog with cheese. When they brought it to me, it was a room temp hotdog (only because it was hot outside) with what honestly looked like diarrhea (I guess that was supposed to be the chili) and nacho cheese sauce. I was stunned! I know food is going to be overpriced at these events, but $7 for that?!? Where was the actually chili? The shredded cheese? Hell, why wasn’t it actually warm? Can you return it? Nope. I also understand that pricing for food has skyrocketed due to many circumstances, but this was just disgusting. All I’m saying is, get back to basics. I’m a foodie and love the eclectic choices of multi ethnic foods available there, but if you are going to serve hotdogs and the variations of that at a baseball game, PLEASE make it the right way! I’m still going back to watch more games, but needless to say I will not be ordering anything else that I can’t see before I buy. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk lol

My husband and I have a goal to visit all of the MLB ballparks. LoanDepot Park was number 10. What an absolutely stunning stadium. We walked around in awe. As Giants fans, we were ecstatic to see many other Giants fans in the visitor side. Everyone in the stadium was friendly. There were no hard glares or hate from anyone. We all just want to have a great night of baseball, right? We enjoyed hot dogs, beer and a margarita.
We used a ride share to get there and drop off was easy enough. As this was our first time, we were unsure of pick up. Outside security gave us simple direction to the pick up area, less than a block away. Hundreds of pick ups were waiting and it was very organized. They should put the instruction board at the entrance, not the end. We figured it out and were picked up in less than 30 minutes.

My teen son and I are on a bit of a stadium tour. This happened to be the destination of our home team during our spring break. We caught two nights of baseball with the roof open. Parking nearby was very easy (we purchased in advance) and traffic direction around the stadium (and some construction) was handled well. In the ballpark, there are great food options and great views. A fun place to catch a game!

This was our second visit to this ballpark and the roof was open. It is a whole different experience with the roof open. It was the second game of the season so there was still some celebratory activities.
Hot dogs were harder to find. Many places had hamburgers and chicken but no hot dogs. However, there are a lot of choices for Latin, Cuban and Dominican food.

We went to see a game CUBA-USA.In a country that stands out for freedom of expression.The Cubans who went to support the American team were treated to prohibit free expression.The head of stadium security seems to work for the Cuban government! He called the police several Cubans and the police told this stadium security that they couldn't do anything to them because they were doing nothing wrong. WHAT GOVERNMENT DOES THE STADIUM WORK FOR?

Un sitio en su total socialismo no tienes libertad de nada en ese sitio no lo recomiendo porque el domingo pasado en el partido de cuba eeuu no se me permitió portar un shirt que decía PATRIA Y VIDA y soy un ciudadano de este país que paga impuesto y pago por ese estadio ….. IT SUCKS ….

I keep seeing different answers..can I bring in outside, snacks? Also I am at FL 3 one game and section 8 the 2nd night..where is best to enter stadium? Do I have a waiter for these seats? Thanks

Trying to buy tickets for Marlins v Pirates on 2nd May 2020. Cannot purchase on Marlins' website - Are they on sale yet? If not when do they go on sale?
Flying into FLL airport in May to see a Marlins game. Will rent a car. Can someone please advise if it is better to book lodging in FL or Miami? I don't want to pay for hotel parking but I could pay ballpark parking or use Uber/Lyft. What kind of traffic can I expect getting to the game on a Wednesday evening in early May?
Again: Would you recommend staying closer to FL or closer to the ballpark. Budget is a factor. Thanks!

The Marlins have terrible fan support and what we do is buy the cheapest tickets possible and if you are polite to the ushers, we have been able to move to great seats. We purchased tickets last year for 10 bucks each. We are Brewer fans and it was wonderful to watch our favorite team up close.

I agree with most other. Best bet is to take an Uber or Lyft from your hotel. Stay near downtown or the Miami airport so you're not too far away.

Wanted to get information on the Route 55 AKA Marlins shuttle from the Overtown Metrorail station. Having a difficult time understanding what it is: is it a bus, train? What about parking, how much is it to park your car at the station and take the shuttle, also - what does the shuttle cost, and how often does it run?

Hi, The Route 55 is a Metro Bus, that leaves from the Overtown / Lyric Theatre and takes you to Marlins Stadium. It's best to get a 1 Day Easy Pass for $5.65 which could be purchased at the Kiosk in the Station. Parking is available for the cost of $4.50. This certainly is the most economical way to go to the Ball Park because the onsite parking is around $30 for most games. Enjoy.
