We were lucky on the day we went, Thursday, that we were there for a guided tour of the permanent exhibits. We learned so much about the Jewish community of Miami Beach from the beginning to the present day. The buildings (there are two of them) are wonderful treasures. There are showcases that present wonderful historic displays. The rotating exhibits were fascinating. Bonnie Lautenberg's photos are bright, energetic and give the viewer a real sense of where we are at this time in history. After we toured the museum, we walked a short distance to the beach where we could continue walking on the path. A fabulous day in Miami Beach!

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Howard. He's an excellent guide - knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and professional. He made us feel welcome and comfortable, encouraged us to ask questions, and spoke in a clear tone, at a good volume, making it easy to hear every word, despite some noisy stops along the way. He shared pictures and anecdotes that enhanced the tour. I especially enjoyed learning about the district's art deco architecture and its preservation. Both the walking tour and the time spent at the museum were informative and fun. I highly recommend a visit to the Museum along with the walking tour of Jewish Miami Beach to anyone interested in Jewish history and culture.

Howard's tour of the Jewish neighborhood in Miami Beach was informative and entertaining. It touched on the history and the architecture of the area.

Howard Breyer is a very knowledgeable and professional guide. He made our tour enjoyable with the accounts of the art Deco architecture , the Jewish Miami Beach and it’s varied history. This tour is a must 🧡

Beautiful museum with some awesome exhibits on the Jewish history of Florida. Great bits of Jewish history on the entire state from down here in South Florida to my hometown of Jacksonville (surprisingly a lot of stuff on Jax!) and everywhere in between. We had Harry Z, a wonderful tour guide inside, giving us a wealth of knowledge about the state.

Howard gave us an informative and interesting tour of Miami. The pace and distance were perfect. The Museum & Walking Tour are a must see if you are visiting Miami .

Our group was 4 Jewish adults visiting Miami Beach for the first time. We visited the Museum and took a 90 minute walking tour lead by Howard Brayer. He was charming, informative and entertaining. We learned so much both in the museum and walking around the area. It was fascinating to learn the history of the families, occupations, and buildings in the streets surrounding the synagogue. Howard possesses a wealth of knowledge about the history of Jewish Miami Beach - past and present. We highly recommend this experience!

After visiting the Jewish Museum of Florida, we followed up with a Jewish walking tour of Miami Beach (South Beach). This tour was led by Howard Brayer, docent extraordinaire. Howard, having done a great deal of research, has created a well paced and very interesting experience. With just a little imagination, one can visualize the buildings, streets and people who would have lived there decades ago. A real treat for history buffs.
