This course is below average. The price is fair for the condition, but I was hopeful that it would be in better shape. Tee boxes are rough and many If the greens need work. I would not recommend this course if you are on vacation. If you’re local, it’s a decent course. I won’t be back.

decided to give the course a visit, we enjoyed the round. Greens were ok, looks like many of the holes had been there a bit. fairways were ok, bare in spots, but not horrible. staff was friendly and the rate ( HOT deal on golf now) made it worth the drive. we'll definitely play there again, and hope the conditions steadily improve.

My son and I just finished a round at the Bluewater Bay golf course, 7 Mar23. All I can say is that we will not go back nor would we recommend playing the course to anyone. The course is in terrible condition. Fairways are bare and thing on most of the holes. The greens are terrible. The fact that they have recently been punched and verticut didn’t help. Also, there is a great deal of what appears to be fungus on the greens that has left bare, and crusty spots in most of the greens. This course is a year or more away from being in a condition that is playable. The green fees are high for a course in the condition this one is in! Course shouldn’t be charging more than a cart fee. Bad thing is, I’m a BWB resident and. I would love to say that this is a course worth playing, but. I can’t!

I've been playing Bluewater Bay Golf Club for a few years now. In March 2022, new ownership/management came in and things have significantly improved. The course is in much better shape and is a lot more fun to play now. No more overgrown water hazards. The course layout is nice and some water holes are particularly gorgeous. The new staff is quite friendly. Does this course rival the best country clubs? No, but I don't think it's trying to. It's a challenging course where you can work on your game, have some fun and not go broke in the process.

Well they want $50 for 18 holes. They have moves holes from 36 holes to 18, its a mess. People that work there and run it are very rude. From a local.

Five of us (two dads and our 18 year old sons) went out on a Tuesday am and had plenty of tee times to choose from. Mike in the pro shop was very good to work with and the fees were very reasonable as was the club rental (don't expect brand new clubs). The course was in good shape and a nice track. It is located in a community so homes are usually on both sides of the fairway but really never came into play. The greens were in good shape but if in the bunker we pulled out because no rakes were available. There are some nice looking holes but two stood out with nice water views. The negative was that they had zero things for you to purchase as far as food or beverages and we had to go back to the local gas station to get drinks. There is a restaurant on site but only open on the weekends I guess. We spoke to one staff member who didn't seem very happy with the people that ran that part because it was his understanding that they should of been open up all week and now not. Mike told us they were going to be re-vamping the course in the future and should be better. It was very nice to be met at our cars with a cart which you don't see at a puplic course that often. Very nice people working there!

Our foursome played this course on a beautiful sunny day in February. This course has a very nice layout. The course staff are all very friendly and helpful. The greens were in great shape. Perhaps the only drawback to this course is the long drive between the front nine and the back. After the round the beer and food in the clubhouse was great. I would highly recommend this course to anyone visiting the Destin/Fort Walton area.

This golf course is nice to play but it needs some work. They have a set of tees beyond the reds which is nice for seniors who don't have much distance in their drives anymore. Love that.

We meet some family and friends for dinner at the clubhouse. Had a great time and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We will visit this place again.

Will not be returning. Following an afernoon round of golf and a visit to the bar my credit card was charged twice for a round of drinks. I returned to the bar at a later date for my refund that, over the phone, was promised to be quick and painless and to bring my card and bank statement. This was not the case.. they were unable to offer me a prompt and accurate refund even after bringing what they asked. Had to end up disputing the charges with my bank. It is obvious the staff is not trained properly and also careless.
