There is a fee to enter.
We spent 2 hrs walking the trails; they were well maintained. There is a parking area with bathrooms, picnic tables & a watering station with bowls for dogs.
The campsites looked neat & clean.
We enjoyed our time here.

We enjoyed a lovely hike at Rocky Bayou State Park. The weather was beautiful in October. We walked several of the trails. The nature winds though the forest and has many of the trees and other flora identified with plaques. The Bayou trail was a lovely walk through the woods and along the bayou. There was also relics from the time the park was part of a World War II training site. One of items is a concrete bomb used by the Doolittle Raiders when they were practicing for their famous 1942 Tokyo Raid. This is a wonderful park to visit that I highly recommend!

We were thrilled by the natural beauty of this park. We stayed in the campground and were so impressed with how well run this facility was. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The sites are spacious and provided better privacy than most other parks. We loved the shaded sites and access to the amenities. Great kayaking in beautiful waters. We will definitely be back!

We had an awesome time camping and fishing. Staff was awesome, sires and bathrooms were clean. Dump station on site. Washers and dryers at bathhouse.

Camp sites are well prepared and shaded with power & water,
The cleanest restrooms I've ever seen in a campground.... as well as air-conditioned!
Washers/dryers available with a change machine present.
The Staff were all pleasant seemed glad to have us there!

Every campsite and every fire pit is raked on the departure of each camper. The camp road is blown free of leaves - never have seen that before. The entire park and its facilities are very well maintained due to the wishes of the manager. This according to the cadre of enthusiastic volunteers. The manager is doing a superb job of running a state park. In the evening, quiet with no amplified sounds or any of those god awful lights in trees or strung around a RV. It was dark - good actually see some stars between the trees.

Stayed for 10 nights very quiet Bathroom was clean had a nice laundry area as well as a place to wash dishes. Cute little store inside Ranger Station. Friendly staff. Keep in mind this is a small campground so every site you puck will have traffic driving past. Our site was right on the corner where the trails were so it was quite busy.

Nice Hiking Trails and Camping spot. Convenient location without the Destin prices and crowds. Make your reservation early if camping.

Low key. SUPER great park staff. Can rent kayak, canoe, SUP, bikes. Great trails for running. Definitely a hidden gem!

We visited Rocky Bayou State Park on a cool day. We parked in the middle of the park and hiked all three of the major trails in addition to walking along the narrow beach of the bayou. The scenery was excellent and the water was extremely clear. Along the trails, the most striking feature are the beds of deer lichen covering the forest floor. A brochure at the beginning of the Red Cedar trail stated that deer lichen can only thrive in areas with low pollution. It also takes 75-100 years for deer lichen to become established. The air indeed was so refreshing. The variety of plants and birds were awesome. Our entire visit lasted only a couple of hours. I highly recommend visiting Rocky Bayou!

Don’t see why not, there are fire rings. Double check the details for each site though, it will tell you if the site has a ring or not.

Yes, this park has flush toilets & the usual amenities. It is not a rustic park. As far as alligators go, I have not heard of or encountered any problems with gators in this park. There ARE gators, & it is Florida. You should always assume there is a gator if there is a body of water. They blend in extremely well & don't move very much. You can be staring right at one & not realize it is a gator. This park is situated in a small city, so the area has more human activity than a lot of the Florida State Parks. Plus you are closer to a hot meal if your campfire fails you.....
