AMAZING…! Jay is talented, kind, fun, and a top notch Fisherman…! The Tarpon Tour we took with Jay was everything we hoped it would be and more…this was a trophy fish for my son and with Jays knowledge and talent he went 2 for 2 on our day out! This trip for us was unforgettable and I couldn’t be more grateful…! Thank you Jay and Amy…the pictures you all caught as well are incredible…! Framers for sure 😊☺️

Fished twice with Capt Jay over the Thanksgiving break. 2 best snook/trout days ever! While the bite seemed good, there were several boats/anglers that were not having the same experience we did. That is the Captain!! One day with daughter that had never fished, and 1 day with experienced fishing buddy. I won't post #'s, but it was crazy! Boat is immaculate, comfortable, and was loaded with bait from the moment we stepped on. I will definitely be back to fish with Capt Jay!

Captain Jay cleaned the boat and wipe the rods and reel handles with Clorox wipes. He had hand sanitizer for everyone which was nice considering the current health concerns. Captain Jay hand a ton of fresh caught bait and we did a near shore fishing trip. We caught a good number of fish and had a couple doubles keeping Captain Jay busy. He was constantly throwing bait out to keep the fish active. Other boats in the area came and went without having the success we had. It was a great day on the water for our family. We are returning for a week next year and are already planning on 2 trips with Captain Jay. Don’t hesitate to book a trip with Captain Jay. He is conscious of the current health issues and provides an incredible day on the water.

I did a tarpon trip with Captain Jay April 17. It was kinda early to fish for them but he put us on tarpon right away and I caught a 130 pounder and jumped a few more. He was super fun to fish with and didn’t breath down your neck or drill you if you made a slip up. He has the best possible equipment and his boat is super nice! I really can’t say enough good things about Jay and his guide service. There’s so many guides out there that Will make your head spin and you can only choose one. Well your search should end with Jay. He will put you on fish and you’ll have a trip you won’t forget!

We had a great time with Captain Jay. He not only put us on the fish right away but was also a great host. Equipment and boat were top notch and he had plenty of live bait he caught earlier in the morning. We did the 4 hour inshore fishing trip. All 4 of our party caught multiple fish and at times kept Captain Jay busy with 2 fish on at once. We caught many snook and trout with multiple other fish mixed in. Captain Jay did all the work and we just had fun catching a lot of fish. I’ve been on other charters but Captain Jay is at the top for knowing where to fish and providing a fun, safe and enjoyable day on the water. We will be going out again with Captain Jay!

Can not say enough good things about our fishing trip with Jay. Courteous in the scheduling of trip, on time, and put us on the fish. We caught over 40 fish in a time period of 4 hours ranging from redfish, trout, sheep heads, jack, snook and yes even the token catfish or two.

I chartered a fishing trip with Capt. Jay. I was in Florida to visit a relative and wanted to take them fishing. It was off-season, but I booked the trip 3 to 4 months in advance as I never know how busy someone is. Jay gave me the rundown and said we could communicate as the date was nearer and let me know what kind of fishing was working better near the time of my charter (10/2/2018).
This was relevant as that area was recovering from a recent red tide, so I wasn't sure what type of fishing would have been best: in-shore, back-bay or near-shore.
I left this decision up to Jay and he didn't disappoint. Jay went out of his way to get live bait as this GREATLY increased our chances of good fishing. I've been in that area with other guides and they have had excuses for not having live bait and just used shrimp.
I caught a range of fish that day: spotted Trout, Crevalle Jack, Snook, a 30" Redfish and even a couple catfish, which I didn't think was too bad for off-season.
I will use Captain Jay again. He responded to communication the same day and gave me options so I could make an informed decision. I hope to visit during in-season for tarpon.

We went out tarpon fishing with Capt Jay Withers for a full week and it was amazing. They were the largest fish I've ever caught and we ended up catching plenty of them. Capt Jay was outstanding. In addition to having a beautiful new boat and great fishing tackle, Jay is also a superb fisherman and photographer (because when you catch monstrous tarpon you'll want bragging rights) as well as a great guy.
I'd 100% recommend to anyone in the Boca Grande area. Worth every penny.

This was our second charter with Capt Jay and he did not disappoint.
We went tarpon fishing in Boca Grande and it was a different experience for us. It was very refreshing to see how Capt Jay worked respectfully with other Captains to ensure a good time for all.
His boat and tackle are top notch as well as his fishing skills. But to me, what shined during this trip was his character, professionalism, and patience. Thanks Capt Jay for another memorable day out in the water.
I would not hesitate to recommend Capt Jay for a fishing charter in Charlotte Harbor!
