Good restaurants, great ice cream, vacation vib. Parking can be a challenge. A few cute shops to explore. Some of the restaurants have live music.

Siesta key village is a very nice place to visit. If you stay in the village you can walk to a number of nice bars and places to dine.
The village operated trolly's which runs from the center of the village all the way to turtle beach and back which is very nice.
The main draw back to the village is the lack of public parking. There are private vendor lots which charge $6.00 per hour and one behind the Village café which charges $7.00 per hour with a two hour minimum which is bull.
We originally were going to stay at the recently renovated places across from the Blase cafe I believe called Siesta Key resort and suites but we had to cancel.
What really annoys me is that they were going to charge those staying $10.00 per day to park your car while staying. That's really a crappy deal and just adds to the greed. The County and or Village association really needs to do something about the lack of public parking. I don't have the answers but it really is annoying not being able to park without being gouged.

The village is a great place to walk, eat and shop. In addition to fine dining there are many places to enjoy a drink while enjoying the weather outside. Traveling with kids? They'll love the gift shops with many great souvenirs at family prices as well as the ice cream and doughnut places.

Great spot lots of restaurants and small shops. Easy beach acces to keys. Bit expensive for drinks e.I daiquiri $12. ParKing can be a bit challenging.

The Village is a fun place to eat, drink and shop. it has the usual t-shirt and souvenir shops along with a few more upscale shops. There are quite a few different restaurants and places to get a drink. The kids like the ice cream shops. You can take the Frogger, or Gater Bus free (just tips) from most places on the key.

Taking a walk down the village is a real treat full of cute shops, great places to snack and eat! There is a pride to this village that makes it feel like a small town! And what a challenge to create that atmosphere but SK has done it!!!

Parking is terrible. Public lots in the village full up way before noon.
New parking system exists with QR Codes and entry of your license plate in private lots.
It is a scam. They will charge you $40 if you overstay 1 minute in a $5 per hour lot.

Your have to walk the village if you come to Siesta Key. Best selection of shops for t shirts, things to take home and don't forget about the Gelato. Best Gelato ever.

Ciao, avrei un paio di dubbi per il nostro soggiorno (famiglia 2+2) ad agosto prossimo nella zona SK/AMI/Lido. A parte la meta che ancora non siamo riusciti a scegliere, forse decideremo per Siesta, al limite Lido, il nostro dubbio maggiore è questo; ci fermeremo 4 notti (poi andremo a Sanibel) e non vorremmo prenotare, ma cercare qualcosa di carino (max 200 usd notte) arrivati sul posto. E' fattibile per la settimana dal 14 agosto? o rischiamo di dormire a Sarasota?

There is a very large parking lot at the public beach about 2 miles north of the main bridge, but get there early in season because it fills up quickly (or go late in the afternoon). There is also a small amount of street parking farther up the beach.
If you go south to Turtle Beach there is a small lot for about 50 cars.
There are a few small parking lots in the village, and some restaurants have valet parking. There is also some street parking on side roads.
