I went on my first dive trip to Roatan in August 2024, I had an amazing time. They handled everything(which is how I like to travel😊). Chris and Alley were great making sure we were all having a good time and enjoyed ourself. The diving was beautiful and traveling with the group was a breeze. I had an issue with my fins and when we got home they went above and beyond helping to resolve the issue

from them ). I already have my next trip booked with them.

W went on a dive trip with the shop, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!! The staff is awesome and the experience was great! You will not find a better group of guys in the dive industry!

Just got back from a FUSE trip to Curacao. Chris Sutherland did an outstanding job leading the group. Everything about the diving was first rate The visibility was outstanding, water was a warm 85 degrees and the walls were epic. The boat crews were knowledgeable and attentive. What the resort lacked in various aspects, it more than made up for in its location with a house reef ideal for beach and night diving.

Many thanks to the folks at Florida Underwater Sports for a great diving experience!
I recently became interested in scuba diving and enrolled in a PADI Open Water Diving Course at my local (Windsor, Ontario) dive center, Benthic Scuba and Snorkel Center. They were also a great experience. Due to timing and scheduling constraints on my end, the open water dives at the end of the course could not get done until spring of 2024. Benthic suggested, if I was going to be vacationing south over the winter, I could try to do the dives with a PADI affiliated shop where I was staying. It just so happened my wife and I had planned a week with family/friends over American Thanksgiving week on Anna Maria Island, north of Sarasota. I did a Trip Advisor search and FUS was rated best dive shop in the area. My search was done.
My diving instructor, Kevin Payne, was excellent in providing the guidance and support to successfully complete my four certification dives. He answered all the questions I had and all the questions I never knew I had. Afterward, Kevin and the folks back at the shop were quick to follow up (whether text/phone/email) with answers or info on any questions I had.
A nice plus for FUS is they can pretty much supply everything you need for cert dives or recreational adventures. Travelers don't need to pack stuff like fins, wet suit, mask, etc. if you are luggage constrained.
Overall, top marks to the FUS staff!

I had an amazing experience getting scuba certified here. Carl is highly skilled and knowledgeable instructor. I feel very fortunate that I was able to have had this experience guided by him. Everyone at the shop was very welcoming and helpful and encouraging. I could not have asked for a better introduction to scuba and I am so excited to see where this sport takes me!

Florida Underwater Sports is a five-star platinum SCUBAPRO shop. That was the endorsement that made my decision to take my PADI open water certification through them. It was the absolute best decision.
Although getting PADI certified had been on my bucket list for decades, I went in with a good dose of anxiety about staying safe. My instructor, Carl Brady, was exceptional at recognizing, mitigating, and coaching me whenever the anxiety would just start to rise. He was truly there for me...and each of us in the class...with patience and encouragement. Carl's superpowers are his situational awareness (he anticipated and responded to whatever was going on with each of us students, as well as everything around us that could potentially impact our safety or experience), his engaging personality and, most of all, his 1,000% commitment to our safety for today and for our future dives. I trusted him with my life.
Huge thank you to the exceptional team at Florida Underwater Sports...Greg, LeAnn, Heather, Lindsey, Carl. You are genuinely passionate about what you do. And, it is contagious.

Bad on me, I waited until about 1.5 weeks before our vacation to try and book a dive. Unfortunately all the places I could find were booked. FL Underwater Sports was the only place that took my name for a waitlist. They called Sunday to say they were adding a boat on Tue and asked if we wanted to join it, which we did. The entire experience was extremely professional and well run from the boat Capt to the Dive Master and Instructor. We rented all our gear through them since we didn't bring any as we were not sure we would be diving. All gear was in very good condition - no issues with any of it on either of our dives. My son and I are very new to diving and the dive master took very good care of us. The sites were man-made reefs and we saw a ton of fish, crabs, starfish, and one very large grouper the size of a small car. Vis was about 20 ft. Great 2 tank dive for novices.

Great dive!! Charter Crew was very helpful and professional. conditions were good, we dove on some beautiful reefs that are home to lots of fish including some huge goliath grouper! Highly Recommend!!

These guys were great. Everyone I talked with was very helpful. Tim when I made the reservation, Heather who fitted us with rental gear, Kendra our dive master and the guys working the boat. Recently "reactivated" as I haven't done an open water dive in years. Helped me get back into the swing of it . . . the reactivation pool work was helpful but not the same as open water! THANKS EVERYONE!

I was looking to get my 12-year old twins trained and certified as PADI scuba divers so we could go diving together. We arrived at the dive shop without prior reservations and were told at first that there were no spots left during our stay. However, the store owner gave me a name of another diver to call and see if they could help and check back the next day if unsuccessful. The next day, we came back and he ended up rearranging schedules so that we could do the open water dives. I was even allowed to tag along with my kids to share the experience. To top it all off, the owner let us take a refresher course in a pool at no extra cost.
Carl Brady was our instructor. Besides being very professional, I found him to be very patient with my kids. On the first day of the open water dives, both my kids were congested, which prevented them from completing the first two dives. Carl rearranged the schedule for the second day to allow them to fulfil all the requirements. At the end, they got their PADI certifications and now we can embark on creating many underwater memories.
Many thanks to Carl and all the other staff who were so helpful. If anyone is looking to try out scuba diving in the Sarasota area, I highly recommend Florida Underwater Sports.
