Chris was our guide and he was amazing! Thank you so much, Chris! This was our fourth time and was definitely our best! But every time we went we have had great guides. We will always be using “Almost Heaven” whenever we go kayaking through the mangroves.

Fantastic Kayak experience. They catered to all experience levels and also had Kayaks for all body types. Guide truly loved and respected the land and provided a magical experience for our nature lovers. I highly recommend this group. Boats were in great condition and they handled all launch and return. He took the time to get to know each rider and also catered to the post hurricane conditions. Fantastic experience, will definitely book again in the future!

We had Sky as our guide. He was very nice and helpful. My mom was new to Kayaking and he was very helpful to her. Especially when she got stuck in the mangroves! I have been on four tours and each one I have had a great experience!

This was an excellent tour. Chris was a fantastic guide: patient, knowledgeable, and informative of all the surrounding nature. Kayaking was fun and not at all a challenge, as we paddled to so many interesting spots like the mangroves (my favorite). We would highly recommend Chris as your guide: you will have a truly great time!

This was such an incredible experience for me and my friends! Our tour guide, Chris, was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. I learned so much about the history and purpose of the mangroves and the habitat where we explored. Chris was also very helpful in giving detailed instructions on how to navigate through the area and I felt safe and relaxed the entire time. I HIGHLY recommend this experience for anyone! Make sure you ask for Chris because he has a great personality and made the trip entertaining.

Chris is an excellent and spunky tour guide. He was knowledgeable about the sea life and even went out of his way to show us some of the animals and allow us to hold them. We were able to jump in the water a little. He was also entertaining and fun! I’d highly recommend him as a tour guide and the price is more than reasonable!

Chris was our guide. He was very knowledgeable about the bay and its marine life. This is a tour that we’d do again when back in Sarasota. Would recommend.

My sister in law and her family have been kayaking with Almost Heaven for many years. We joined them this year and had a blast. Chris made it a fun and educational experience. Loved being able to get out of the kayak part of the way through, refreshing. Would recommend Chris and Almost Heaven!

My team and I booked with Almost Heaven Kayak and I am glad we did, it was a fantastic morning. Chris was our guide, he was super helpful and really imformative on the area and wildlife. Cannot recommend these guys enough!!! This is a must do activity!

Is there a better time of day to schedule to increase chance of seeing dolphins or manatees?

I went with the earliest tour (9:30am) and we saw a group of manatees. They came up to our kayaks and were swimming around us. I think that the morning is a good time to see animals.

U saw a 12 foot alligator. Weren't you afraid of it or afraid that it might come after the people in the canoes?

It is unlikely for one to see an alligator in saltwater. In fresh water alligators are prevalent. If kayaking in freshwater, make sure you check with Florida Fish and Wildlife website before you go.

Hi there. Our Lido Mangrove Tunnel tour is our most popular tour because of the incredible canopy covered kayak trails through a Mangrove forest! The Siesta Key Tour is beautiful as well, but there are no Mangrove Tunnels. Instead, we paddle through a serene nature preserve and take a break on a secluded beach where there is an oppurtunity for some of the best shelling in the area! Either one is a great way to spend a couple hours on the water. Also if you are lucky, there is a chance of seeing dolphins or manatees on either tour. Thanks and we look forward to paddling with you.

We booked it like the day before, so I don't think there's a line for it. There was only one couple who went with us on the morning trip so it was more of a personal tour.

We use sit on top kayaks which are easier to get in and out of . the lido mangrove tunes tour lasts for 2 1/2 hrs

Hello
The best tour for Beginners would be the Lido mangrove tunes tour which lasts for 2 1/2 hrs l. You would be in the kayaks for the duration of the tour.
The tour is in 2 parts the first half you are on the bay looking for wildlife the second half you are in the mangrove tunnels and there it is shady.
The tour is enjoyable for all ages

I would think he would be fine. the water is calm, the kids wear life vests. And you would be in a double kayak with him. Our tour there were small kids. I think the grandparents had more problems than the little kids actually!
