My wife and I took the cruise, and the weather was perfect. The marine biologist was extremely friendly and informative. We learned about dolphins and manatees and a few tropical birds and the different keys around the harbor and how shallow the depths and the sand bars. We plan to take the sunset cruise next winter but we def recommend the cruise.

Parking was impossible and so my husband was greatly delayed catching up with us. The ship would not allow us all to board until the entire party was together. We were the last six on the ship and they were no seats available for us together. We had to stay in the bottom, part of the ship with no view,
I also was disappointed that music was played for a short while, but that was it. I had hoped that we would get a little history about the inhabitants of some of the grand houses we sailed by there’s nothing to learn on this cruise, except never to book again.

This is an excellent tour by water of Sarasota Bay. We saw manatees, porpoises, and the beautiful homes on the water. Two hours went by quickly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Be sure to sit on the upper level of the boat under cover of the canopy.

This cruise was a highlight of our vacation! We went on the 11 AM cruise. We saw lots of dolphins, birds, and a young manatee! The captain was so careful around the animals and the guide was very knowledgeable and personable. I learned a lot and it was a beautiful day to be out on the water! Highly recommend!

We have been visiting Sarasota, on & off, for over 20 years and always enjoy taking a LeBarge cruise. It’s a fabulous way to see the amazing homes and wildlife of Sarasota Bay. The cruise guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. We are rarely disappointed when looking for dolphins and beautiful seabirds. I definitely recommend it.

Love taking out of town guests, so informative, fun and casual.

We took a 2 hour cruise to see the dolphins and manatees. The lady narrating the tour was excellent and actual marine biologist and had very good information. Everybody kept sharing if anyone spotted dolphins and the lady would tell everyone. We did see several dolphins at a distance, intermittently and for seconds, but it was very exciting. No luck with the manatees

Took a group of 29 ladies on a LeBarge dolphin cruise. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Seating on the deck was comfortable and drinks/snacks were available. The marine biologist kept a running narrative of our adventure as we cruised Sarasota Bay. We finally saw several dolphins which made everyone happy. A bit of red tide did not ruin the day, but check the website for information ahead of time if possible. A great day was had by all.

The Sarasota Bay is beautiful and it's mansions are amazing...well worth the trip. However, there were not enough seats outside on the upper and lower decks, therefore, we had no choice but to sit inside. We would have much rather sat outside on such a beautiful day. Wouldn't have been so bad except that the speaker in the cabin was not working, so we did not hear any of the nature/wildlife/houses/ etc. information that the tour guide spoke. We asked to have the speakers turned up so we could hear, and they tried, but they said they were not working, sorry. Funny that after the tour was over, the captain spoke loud and clear on the speaker to tell us about the tip jars, and exiting the boat. So yes, we felt cheated that we kind of missed the tour. It was not a cheap tour and we felt we should have enjoyed the whole experience for the price we paid.

You should be there at least 45 minutes to an hour before to check in with your tickets, and to get a comfortable seat on the top deck.

Hello, Is this boat handicap friendly? My husband can walk some but steps can be a challenge at times. Any hand rails at steps? Is there a restroom on board?

He would have no problem getting on the boat. Getting upstairs would probably be challenging (stairs are really steep)
There are 2 restrooms available on the main level
