Small place with interesting info. Take the free tour and support or Manatees. You are only there for about an hour and if you go in cool weather you will see lots of manatees.

We thought it was a place to see/experience Manatees but it isn't. The property/view of the bay is beautiful and very well maintained. The huge Banyan tree is neat.

Thanks so much for visiting! Our manatee friends tend to play in cooler waters in the summer, but normally return when during manatee season which starts November 15 and runs through March. You can check out our Manatee Cam to see if there are any wild sea cows in sight. We hope to SEA you again!

An easy drive from any of the vacation clubs. Highly recommend to one interested in eco systems and Manatees. Friendly staff and numerous displays. No admission charge... but donations are accepted. Manatees abound during cold months to enjoy the warm waters from the power plant discharge... but leave as local waters warm up. Nevertheless a visit anytime of year is worth an hour or so visit,

This is a very small but amazing place to learn about manatees! I’ve been here many times whenever I go to Florida and it always makes me happy. I have never been turning manatee season so I usually only see 1-2 manatees in the manatee viewing area but I’m sure when you doing during the official season you see many more! It is free admission and optional to donate money as an entry fee. There is also a really cute gift shop to help the manatee conservation efforts they have. There are no manatees in captivity which makes me happy!

Free. Right next to the power plant, which provides warm water with your drawls in the winter. Had a lot of cool information and a couple of fish tanks. There was some art upstairs for sale, does super expensive but interesting. Went by myself took about an hour or less

C'est un bel endroit où on a eu la chance de voir 4 manatee. Ça paraît que cet endroit a du budget,ils fonctionnent tout de même avec les donations. C'est très éducatifs.

We were hoping to see some manatees in the lagoon but we didn't have any luck. We chalked it up to the mild winter and warmer waters. We will for sure check out the next time we are in the area

Unfortunately we did not see any Manatee's as the weather was warmer and they were not looking for the warm water the power plant pushes out. The barracuda loved it though and we must have seen 25 to 30 of them in the cove along with needle fish and one sting ray. Take the time to explore inside it is really informative.

We had a really lovely afternoon at the Manatee Lagoon in West Palm Beach. We attended a free talk, which was really informative and well presented. There are also educational displays throughout the centre and an excellent gift shop, where you can get your own soft toy manatee, which is very cute. Although it was nearly the end of manatee season, we were lucky enough to see one swim past from the observation area. We would highly recommend this free facility for a relaxing and informative couple of hours.

Always a treat if the manatees are there. Unfortunately manatees could care less about your schedule. The museum, though, does have some very worthwhile exhibits and its free! Worth a trip.

Is only the visitor center closed Mondays? Can I still park and walk along the boardwalk to see the manatees on Mondays? Or is the whole place locked up?

The whole place is closed on Monday's including access to the parking lot. I figure Monday is the day they clean,repair,restock,cut the grass,etc.

no pets are allowed I believe there is a sign posted. the best time to go is early in the morning as it's cool out and they flock to the warm water around the facility. it is a great outdoor activity you can pack a picnic basket and have lunch on one of the picnic benches or under the beautiful trees. there is also a cafe in the facility that you can purchase simple food and drinks. definitely a place to visit hope you enjoy
