Taking the tour always enhances the experience

We saw the museum from a boat tour and were not able to visit that day. Glad we made it back. He was a very good artist Didn’t let a stoke stop him. Sorry we forgot to sign the register. Perhaps the attendant can remind people to do it on the way out to help with the funding.

Good but not great

This is a very small museum with a nice sculpture garden. Polasek was a Czech immigrant who came to America and eventually was a teacher at the Chicago institute of art. The museum was highlighting gilded art (gold leaf embellishment) at the time of our visit and it was very interesting. The main attraction was the garden area which houses many of Polasek's works of art. $12 admission fee. Allow an hour or so for a visit. Free parking in their lot.

Small museum and lovely sculpture garden

This house is quite small. The video was short but interesting. The sculpture garden with the view of the lake is lovely. Part of the house was being remodeled. We enjoyed the flowers and butterfly’s in the garden. It was interesting to learn that the house was moved across the water in two pieces in the 1980’s.

Great value afternoon

This is a hidden gem with polite, helpful and passionate staff who I believe may be volunteers. The story of Polasek is heart-warming, the museum is owned by a foundation and guests support its continuation. Extra-ordinary quality sculptures, particularly of the anatomical features of the human body. Great guide took us around the house and explained the exhibits. Compared with other Orlando admission prices this is exceptional value. Make this part of a day visit to Winter Park, there are lots of other gems in this area, a refreshing break from the main tourist trail in Orlando.

Absolutely beautiful grounds and building with great sculptures

This is a perfect place to have a picnic as there's tons of shade and benches. There are tours every hour or so and it takes less than an hour to see everything. You can also get a map and do your own tour. Very Christian oriented stuff, but the art inside isn't and the flora is well manicured plus there's a dock with a superb view of the water.

A Tiny Treat

We greatly enjoyed the Paint Out at the Polasek Museum. That's a yearly event at the end of April. If you can be there for that, go. We went back for the fundraiser in the evening because it was such fun. Great art to buy too.
Otherwise, this is still a lovely retreat of quiet beauty with a very small museum and a lovely garden. It also has a charming staff. Hope you'll go meet them.

Beautiful art learning experience.

This is a great exhibit whether you are into art or not. There is a museum of sculptures, Polasek's home, and a sculpture garden of Polasek's sculptures in beautiful garden settings.

Denise gave an informative tour of his home and narrated about Polasek's life. This tour is a great cap off of a visit to Winter Park.

Parking is easy and free. Admission is very reasonable. It takes 1-2 hours to see this attraction. Probably not great for children. Walking is easy.

Beautiful museum and grounds on the lake

Very much enjoyed this painter and sculptor museum. Lovely to wander the garden. The Docent had so much interesting tidbits to share and was enthusiastic about Polasek, his art and life. Highly recommend a stop here.

Beautiful place

This is a small museum, with a beautiful garden .Excellent for a picnic. Customer service is great, nice and helpful. I think 2 hours in this place is enough, but you can sit in the garden for hours

Beautiful event property and museum

Beautiful old home. Enjoyable if you love Florida Mediterranean style architecture. Lovely lawn on the chain of lakes. Well worth a short visit or hosting an event. Check it out.
