Proprio accanto all'imbocco del sentiero che porta sul Rinjani, ci si imbatte in questa parte di Senaru chiamata "the traditional village". Corrisponde più o meno ad un nostro centro storico: mantenuto con le abitazioni in bambù, legno e fibra di cocco, ad una stanza con veranda e il gazebo - soggiorno subito all'esterno. I polli razzolano, le mucche marroni ruminano, i bimbi giocano. Peccato che come i nostri centri storici sia abitato dalle famiglie più povere..

We've climb Rinjani 2 days 1 night to crater rim Senaru last week with Rinjani Trekking Expert. Starting at Senaru village the only one ascent route open after big earthquake July 2018. Very recommended !

Also, main trekking way and trails begins here, we started Rinjani 100 from Senaru and ran straight to the top, through jungle , volcano lake and after to the top!

Local women’s group guiding.
Rare and welcome in Muslim village.
Do the panorama tour which covers old traditional village, local fruit, herbs and vegetables together with rice paddies before going onto waterfalls for refreshing swim.Guides cheerful and informative. We really enjoyed it and recommend the tour.

En la entrada del pueblo encontramos un grupo de guías intentando convencernos de que era obligatorio llevar guía. A lo cual nos negamos rotundamente, ya que queremos visitar los lugares por nuestra cuenta sin tener que seguir los horarios impuestos por los guías.Conseguimos entrar sin guía previa donación voluntaria al pueblo. Se ve que están remodelando el pueblo para hacerlo más turístico. En general es bonito, pero en mi opinión mas bien pequeño. Mi marido sufrió un accidente en la cabeza debido a la poca altura de una de las casa. Varias personas vinieron para ayudarlo, le curaron la herida, e insistieron en que descansara y entrara a sus casas. Se portaron muy bien.

before the climb or the day of our arrival, we visited the traditional house of senaru village, the people are friendly although not English, we feel in primitive age.
