Online Order of Lane Peach bread.
My wife and I ordered a loaf of Lane's "famous " Peach bread - to take with us on our anniversary road trip. Utterly tasteless piece of bread. NO DETECTABLE FLAVOR OF ANY KIND!!
Peach? WHAT Peach? This pretty doorstop was very expensive and totally inedible.... Dry, tasteless, a TOTAL RIPOFF!!!!
DO NOT buy this object, masquerading as food!

We have been stopping at Lane Southern Orchards for years whenever we drive from Ohio to Florida in the summer. It makes the long drive worthwhile (along with a good audio book!) It is just a 10 minute drive from I-75 in Fort Valley, GA. The peaches and pecans are extraordinarily delicious. We bring them as gifts to family and friends in Florida and Ohio. My boss ate one of their peaches and immediately said, "That was divine!" Even people who don't normally like peaches rave about these. Our neighbors in Florida and family in Ohio ask us when we're getting peaches again!
The shop and the attached Peachtree Cafe & Bakery are also great for a pit-stop. Restrooms are clean, parking is easy, there's a little playground, front porch furniture, and sometimes you can watch the peaches being graded, sorted, and packed in the attached warehouse.
Do yourself a favor and stop here when on I-75 in GA.

Very disappointed in the fresh peaches we purchased. We purchased 3 boxes. Peaches never ripened, we tried everything suggested. We guess they were picked too early (green). The peached looked good but hard has rocks.

Wonderful place for lunch! The peach cobbler is fabulous. And the peach tea and peach lemonade is over the top!! So glad we found this little gem!

$10 junk club sandwich and $8 "bowl" of chicken soup with no chicken...terrible staff. Waste of the detour. Only had 2 of the 5 specialty breads, out of 3/4 of the desserts, very dissatisfied

Stopped here on the way to Tybee Island, was very disappointed. Its not that large of a store. What few bags of peaches they had were hard, maybe because of the time of year. Ate at the deli and the food wasn't that great. Had peach ice cream , it was creamy but the peach taste just wasn't there. Bought a few jars of peach salsa and was going to buy some other jars of food but the date on jar was expired, brought it to attention of worker and he said maybe it the manufacture date but not their date ! What I thought they made the product there ! Will not be going back again.

Peach cobbler was great. Many peach items available in store. We were disappointed there were not any orchard tours. Also no strawberry picking available as stated on website. The website makes it sound like there is both a Cafe and deli, however, it is the same with only 4-5 sandwich offerings.

We wanted to visit Lanes as my dad has worked here when he was a teenager. At first we were going to eat lunch here but decided on another spot. I thought it was a typical restaurant. It is more like a deli. You walk up place and order they call your number and you pick up your food. Now this is not bad if know what you are getting. I did partake in the fried pie and peach ice cream and both were great.
The store has a very good variety more I think than a typically souvenir place. Many things made of peaches, pecans and strawberries and they grow all here. We did limit our purchases and picked what we though would give us most bang for our buck. Decided on a large bag of unshelled pecans. Knowing they could make many things back home. I have to say they are delicious.
We were there before the peach season but I will tell you the strawberry patch was wonderful. We went down and picked our own. They were huge and delicious. As we were traveling in our RV I kept them in the fridge unwashed in the open bucket they give you to pick with and they last the whole 10 week trip and still had some to make strawberry bread with when got back home.
They have many great things I do not get back in Texas so go with an open mind and just buy a sample of what they do here.

We have for the 3rd year. Purchased more peaches fir jam. Staff are super nice. Purahased fress made bread too. The shop is veteran friendly.

Every Memorial Day weekend we visit Lane with our extended family. It’s fascinating to watch the packing of the peaches. The cafe is awesome. We usually get ice cream and cobbler. Usually peach and sometimes strawberry ice cream. I am assuming they make all the food there from their fresh produce. The store has a lot of great unique finds. Many sauces , rubs , jellies and old fashioned bottled soda and wines. They have t shirts and flags also. We just love it. We also return right before coming home to WV and buy boxes of fresh peaches. My list of people who want these peaches grows every year. They are sooooo good. Our favorite place to visit on our trip.

I can't help you as I never tried it. However, there are a lot of good recipes for peach lemonade on Google. Now you've got me interested I'm going to try making some as soon as warm weather gets here.
