Absolutely wonderful experience. Very easy to book online and everything was ready when we got there. Grabbed a tube and jumped right in. Very nice facility.

Great time on the river. It’s cold, but feels so nice. Buy your tickets online and skip the lines, and make sure you pay for the stick. It really does help to navigate floating along the river/rocks. Ohh and take waterproof case to take pictures along the river.

Maybe this place used to be good, but as of our most recent visit in August 2024, our experience couldn’t have been worse. This company overbooks x100000000. WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE. Greedy horrible company. It was total chaos. Sticks everywhere. Dogs crapping in the river. People crawling over eachother. Constantly getting stuck on the rocks and twisting your ankles to get free. My entire family got injured. We eventually walked out the side of the river onto the street and walked back it was so horrible. Shame on this place. Do not waste your time.

This was the first time our Grandkids went whitewater rafting. Josh was an excellent guide. This was a great rafting company to go with. Would definitely go again

So much fun! There really isn’t much to say: you got a river, you got a tube, make sure you buy a stick! Other than that, have a blast!!
Notes: good for kids and adults, make sure you have a stick or paddle, life vests have to be worn if you’re under 12, take the 2 hour route.

Recommend Cool River! Busses are pet friendly and tube's have backs! Make sure you get a stick, you will need it.
Line gets long, fill out waiver first. Young adults running the process, it got a little hectic without instruction of where to go and what to next.

Wife and I did the tubing on Wednesday we did the two hour ride and had a wonderful time, you do need a push stick and wear water shoes to help when you have to get out and walk. Overall, we had a wonderful time. This was our 3rd time doing the tubing in 3 years... love this town and the river tubing

The personnel at Cool River Tubing were very helpful, courteous, and organized. We bought our tickets online and check-in at the starting point was quick and easy. A short ride on the bus and we were in the water quickly. We didn't opt for push-sticks but many people did and there were times that it would've been easier to avoid or get loose from rocks in shallow areas if we had them. Grab a strap if you want to stay near the person/people you're tubing with. We didn't and at various times we ended up floating a bit away from one another. We originally intended to do the 1 hour trip but at the last minute opted for the 2 hour (same price) and I'm glad we did. The 1 hour starts right at the edge of town and a good portion of that segment is flatter and slower. The one hour would be good if you're taking small children. Our tubing experience was a fun way to relax and enjoy the scenery of Helen

Went on July 2 with two granddaughters (10 & 8). We ate lunch at the Troll Tavern on the outside patio so we got to watch the tubers. We had spent most of the day at waterfalls so we weren't getting started until about 4:00 so we elected the short float trip. We had done the online waivers so our check-in went quickly and we boarded the bus for the dropoff. Water level was low but only scraped a couple of times. Wife and I each tied onto the grands tube which made navigation a bit tricky. The takeout was a bit rough due to the depth of the water and the uneven rock botton, but the staff was helpful in grabbing the tubes and assisting in getting out. Nice to be on the cool river on such a hot day.

I would o the shorter trip. The upper part is too shallow, unless you want to spend a lot of time out of the tube pulling it.

Water was perfect. Not too fast, not too slow. Never had to get off the tube; just look ahead, see if anyone was stopped or hung up on a rock and guide around it. Awesome time! Enjoy!!!

I don’t believe so, but some areas are more shallow than others so being lighter or at least capable of pushing past the rocks is required. We saw a variety of body types and everyone was getting through fine.

Nobody checks and no safety briefs; however, non swimmers and small kids should wear them. I witnessed a small child fall off a tube and swallow some river water; however, the life jacket did its job and parents were able to scoop her up. Lots of rocks to hang up on, so many flip over trying to get past the rapids.

There are many children along for the ride. I would bring your own Coast Guard approved life vest. The long ride can get boring for small children. I took our son when he was four.
