Oh my gosh. This has to be the worst golf course I have ever played. Beautiful holes but horrible conditions, the greens were rough and the cart paths were terrifying. No range balls because the range picker was broken. No water on course. The greens were bumpy and burnt. Wouldn't call this a 'resort" course.

My wife and I really enjoyed this course. So much that we played it 2 days in a row. It has so good challenges, beautiful views, and well maintained course. Some tee boxes are under construction but the temporary boxes are just fine. We will definitely come back. The office staff is friendly and informative. Ran into some of the local players and they were nice as well. I do have one complaint, but it’s not against the golf course, it’s about the guest. There are numerous trash can along the course and somehow I seen a lot of cans and trash along the cart paths where guest just threw out trash instead of leaving it in their cart or waiting for a trash can. That is just pure laziness and could be prevented.

Sorry... BUT this course was VERY DISSAPOINTING (and we wanted to love it!) ...
1: The golf carts were SLOW SLOW SLOW (I could walk faster!)... I reported this upon finishing the round and the starter gave me a "Tip" to supposedly improve performance. I told him that the golfers should be advised of this BEFORE the round!... DUH!
2: The Tee boxes were in Terrible shape! Normally, I could overlook this, but coupled with the other negatives, this condition could not be ignored.
3: Poor excuse for Tee Box markers!... OLD wooden markers with a 1" FADED stripe depicting the tee bow color!! (Difficult to discern) ... What??... Can't afford paint to apply to more of the marker? Did I mention that there was only 1 marker per box?
4: The Cart Paths/directions were marginal. We missed a few turns. Heck... An arrow drawn with spray paint could fix that in 30 min.!
5: The fairways were "Just Okay"... BUT for a fairly high-end resort, they should be better.
6: Did I mention that the greens were in pretty rough shape!... NOT indicative of resort with an almost $47 weekday cost!
The one part of the golf course that EXCELLED was the layout and Structure... LOVED IT. But I would not play there again knowing about the too many negatives above. As a matter of fact, we had 2 other tee times scheduled over the next few days that we CANCELLED after playing here as it was NOT WORT THE PRICE OR THE EXPERIENCE... TOO BAD! Like I said... I wanted to love it!

You must come to Helen, fun for the entire family, couple or golf group. Stay at Valhalla and then head over to play Innsbruck Resort and golf Club. Many great places to eat, have fun or just relax.

Narrow fairways in comparison to what we play, and this course was a lot of fun. It was also in great shape. Practice balls are in very small bags with a very small driving range but it was all good. Carts have GPS which is nice, and will control your speed on steep slopes. We played on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and it was not crowded. Definitely recommend

I am from florida and always like to play courses with elevation changes as I don't get that at home. This was a great course that featured great views and elevation changes. Played with a nice retired couple that live there and they gave me some great course tips for a first timer. Definitely came in handy because many holes you cannot see the green from the tee box. Loved 15 with the huge drop to the green at the bottom. Course was in good condition except for the bunkers which were a little ragged. Only thing that would be nice would be a tee box in between the gold and the blue which would have been good for my handicap.

As recommended by the pro shop I quickly put away my driver. Some drastic elevation changes, blind shots, fast greens and narrow fairways. It won't be for everyone but I loved it. Checked my ego at the door and enjoyed the challenges. Beautiful course and wicked layout. Greens are very fast and in great condition. Fairways not bad but could use attention. It's not for the faint of heart but again I loved it. I will play it again when I get back to the area.

The course changes in elevation provides a different challenge on each hole. The staff was really pleasant and helpful.

The poor area sure had some storm damage and the fairways were a bit rough. The golf cart path was under repair so it was pretty crazy ride in some places but we had a good time. It looks like they are trying to repair and work on the course and paths.
I look forward to trying the course again in another year or so. There were some challenging holes and some very unique and pretty holes as well.
My husband and I live in a golf community so are partial to our course which is in such great shape right now. I understand the owner of the new resort is going to help with some updates/repairs to improve the course even more so the change will be fun to watch.
I would have given 5 stars except for the overall condition and some which mother nature did generate but want to give a true picture and review. Will go again maybe just next year.

As a first timer prepare to loose some balls, but the view makes it all worthwhile. Challenging par threes. Two hundred foot drops. Fast greens. Some forgiving bowl shape fairways. Great website gives pictures and descriptions of all holes. Close to town. Very helpful staff. Great price.
