Rolling Thunder River Company is an outstanding company! We enjoyed them so much, that we returned to them 3 weekends in a row to run the Ocoee in McCaysville, Ga. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and also very personable. I would trust them to guide me down any rive! The administrative staff are friendly and competent as well - and they have a great set up. There is plenty of equipment (paddles, helmets, and PFD's), great showers, nice bathrooms, and plenty of parking. It is a great business and I highly recommend them!

My sons and I had an awesome time with Rolling Thunder River Company. Making reservations was simple and their location was nice, clean and easily accessible. Our tour guide was the Todd-father and he made the trip an blast. Super fun and will definitely come back again next season.

We did the middle section of the Ocoee in mid-September. The booking, communications with us about waiver requirements, directions and other logistics was really clear. For three of us, it was our first experience, and the team made us feel prepared and ready for the trip. Our guide Lucas was highly skilled in the boat, and made sure our time on the river was fun and educational. He told us about the history and the environment we were in, and between rapids we got to soak in the beauty of the area (along with a lot of river water). Plan to get completely wet and bring a change of clothes, and definitely don't bring anything on the boat you are not ready to lose. Overall, it was outstanding. We will be back to run the upper river with Rolling Thunder, that is for sure.

This was my 2nd time doing the middle Ocoee with you guys...awesome experience for sure. Our guide Jefe did a great job and definitely made it fun!

What a thrilling ride on the rapids! My first time doing white water rafting, a person who doesn't swim. We were so lucky to have Tod the "TodFather" steering our raft! He knew every possible rock, way to run the rapids. Very fun guy who kept us entertained the entire ride. Wouldn't ride with anyone else. All my friends on one raft had a fantastic time, can't wait to do it again!

Incredibly fun experience!! Do it! QUIZNOS is the man! Best guide!! We had never been rafting before and did the 9am Middle trip. Highlight of our time in blue ridge.

It was a pretty cool experience and we had a blast! Quizno was our guide and he was amazing! He maneuvered and steered the boat really well to get a fun experience like "surfing" and hitting class 3 and 4 rapids! He made our first rafting experience highly enjoyable.

Toddfather was a great guide, knew where every rock was so as to optimize our fun. We had a great time. The rafts were new, the safety presentation was informative, great trip, just do it.

What a rush!!!! We had the pleasure of being led by Quiznos & he was amazing! He was very informative, friendly, and adventurous. He was sure to let us know what was ahead before we crossed it which made us feel so safe. Thank you so much Quiznos!!!

So fun & greatly ran by this company. Our guide, Cal, was very informative, got us through the river the best & safest way possible all while being very entertaining. Even the river lunch was delicious. Highly recommend Cal & this white water rafting company!!

I am thinking of booking the 9:15 tour. Does anyone have suggestions of things to do in the area afterwards? Can we fit in tubing or should we do that a different day?

Couple of really good restaurants in town. I never looked for tubing but definitely spots to find where you can dip in the water.

Hi we left around 930 AM , arrived at the river around 10. The river trip was approximately 2 hrs. We returned to the store around 1230. This is our 3rd trip with this company and I can promise you they are the best! I wouldn’t put my family’s lives in anyone’s else’s hands! They definitely know how to maneuver the river, which allows you to feel safe so you can enjoy the adventure. I hope this helps. Enjoy.

You need to wear shoes that can get wet and will stay on (no crocs). Water shoes or keens or tevas work well. Basically you “brace” yourself in the raft with your feet so shoes must no be able to easily slip off. Also, the Rolling Thunder folks will advise you too! Have fun!
