Had an amazing treatment and time at the spa. It is huge and impressive. The staff are nice and the who place has a calm and welcoming feel. I will definitely come back.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Serene spa package, which was a lovely treat arranged by a close special friend for the two of us to have quality time together and catch up properly. She lives nearby, but I love Lancashire in the North West and dont het to see her as much as I'd like. I was absolutely overwhelmed and spoilt by experiencing something so relaxing and special after a difficult few months.
I look forward to another visit. The experience, the facilities food and drink were all wonderful.

Lovely spa and a nice way to spend a few hours. All the staff are friendly and helpful.
My only grumble is that the showers in the changing rooms were cold, even when turned fully to hot. And the shampoo in the showers dried my hair out and med it feel like straw, unfortunately I couldn’t use the conditioner because the one in my cubical had ran out!! But overall I had a nice time and would go back. Oh also, the package says it includes slippers, it doesn’t. You have to pay £3.50 for them or take your own flip flops. You can also go bare foot, which I did :)

We had a spectacular time at Nirvana Spa. I did not understand why people loved coming to Nirvana but now I do. It is the facilities , the food , the atmosphere . Catering to everyone in different ways. The best part of this place is the staff from start to finish. I wish I could name them all. They were all amazing. I want to thank them all including Collette at reception , Natalie who explained the Mud Rasul which was fantastic , fun and I would recommend everyone do this treatment . My skin is soft. Also Pasquale who explained the Dead sea therapy pool. He was magnifico. Then all the staff in the restaurant were just fantastic because I had a problem with my card which they solved so easily. This was my first time eating plant based food. It was so delicious and I would have this food again. I was that chilled and relaxed , I only looked twice for the time and that was for the mud treatment and my booking at the restaurant. It is not a maybe but I know I will go back to experience perfection. I recommend everyone to experience this wonderful place and it is not a once in a lifetime it is a place you will go back time after time.

I've enjoyed several 'time-out' sessions at Nirvana. The Tepidarium is a favourite. I love to use the outdoor pool and hot tub too. That said there are a few negatives. £4.75 is a bit steep for a Rocky Road, and the shower facilities are poor, I always just pull on my trackies and hoodie and head home to shower off.

My sister purchased this as a gift and we had a lovely day but come on Nirvana you can do better. Not impressed at all by having service charges added for food and drink that was included in our package. Not impressed by being told a two course lunch is starter and main not main and desert (where do you say this in your literature?). Why no magazines? Surely not a Covid health issue now when everyone there is touching so many surfaces. Finally poor cleanliness, for example, for hydro massage bed the same blanket is used for guest after guest. Hydro massage beds room and some pools really cold.

Having wanted to visit Nirvana for years I was happy to find it was as good as expected. There are some facilities that I have not come across in other spas such as the flotation pools and 'endless pool' where you swim again a current.
Compared to other spas all the areas are larger. The tepidarium seats probably 50 people. The colosseum pool probably 100 over the 2 floors. However it doesn't feel crowded as people spread out amongst all the areas. The decor is very good. No stains, peeling paint or rusty patches anywhere. You can also change your towels and robes for new ones whenever you wish.
3 things to consider - lunch was actually filling. Portion sizes were very good for a spa and there were sides available to purchase as extra. The salad bar was very impressive and there is a good selection of drinks. We ( 2 of us) had afternoon tea and couldn't finish it! Even as a big girl who loves my food I struggled. If I go again I wouldn't order afternoon tea as lunch was more than sufficient. Secondly check any extras on your bill. We were about to be charged for 2 glasses of wine that we never had. Then thirdly the gym is a separate facility located across the carpark. We had booked an aqua class not realising this. Walking back to the spa in wet costumes in the cold and wind wasn't appealing so we cancelled it.
I'd definitely recommend a visit. The fact you can stay for the full day and into the evening makes it worth travelling if you come from a way away. Overall a nice experience!

I visited the spa for the Simply Relaxtion evening package which includes “access to all facilities, a delicious two course meal, unlimited soft drinks, robe & towel provided”.
I’d booked with my cousin who has membership. She had tried to book but they didn’t have availability so she went on their ‘wait list’. She got a call on the day to advise her that a space had become available so she booked it.
On arrival the reception area was busy and staff not particularly welcoming or friendly. I booked in and they charged a robe to my card saying it wasn’t included. I reminded them I was on a package that states a towel and robe is included - she said she hadn’t realised I was on a package so removed it from my card.
My cousin tried to book in and was told there was no record of her booking. We then stood there for 10 minutes whilst they tried to find it. They asked exact time of the phone call, who had called, what number they had called her on etc. she had all of this on her phone but the implication was that she was lying which made us feel uncomfortable. At one point it looked like they weren’t even going to let her in - even though she had a message on her phone. The whole checking in was quite stressful - not the calming, relaxing experience we were hoping for.
Dinner was also a faff. As I was on the package I was given a slightly different menu to my cousin, showing starters, mains and desserts. I didn’t want a starter so chose a main and dessert. When the waiter came to take my order I was told that I couldn’t have a dessert - yes, the package includes two courses but only a starter and a main… dessert is not an option even though it’s shown on the menu - nowhere online or in the booking does it state this it clearly says two courses which to me means either starter & main or main & dessert? I don’t get why you couldn’t choose a dessert even the staff told us everyone says the same and they too think it’s ridiculous. Come on Nirvana! I chose a starter for the sake of it even though I didn’t want one - it was mediocre at best. My cousin went for the fish - which turned out to be fish fingers on sourdough (thinnest slice of sourdough I’ve ever seen with a massive portion of tartare sauce). Also beware they add an 8% service charge to your card - even if your meal is part of a package. You can choose not to pay this when you checkout at reception.
The facilities are nice. Lots of pools - really liked the salt and hydrotherapy pools. Very limited with steam/saunas but if you’re a pool person it’s great. Sorry to say I really don’t like that you allow mobile phones. A spa is meant to be a relaxing experience to get away from it all. The tepidarium with heated beds is nice - it asks for complete silence in there which is nice but literally 50% of guests were all tapping away on their phones.
Also, there’s no calming music. Just everyone talking at normal volume - no hushed voices as has been my experience at other spas. And it’s busy! So many people I believe they limit numbers but it was very crowded - maybe as we went on a Saturday evening. Perhaps a week day would be less busy.
All in all I’d say it was ok. I don’t think it represents great value for money. All the added extras (just include the price of a towel and robe for goodness sake everyone is going to need one) and exclusions on packages make it a bit tedious and unnecessary and really detract from what should be a relaxing treat.

so I bought a spa package for my partner and when I booked there was no mention of having to hire towels and robes. She has been told its now chargeable #hiddencharges

Visited here with my wife, brother in law and sister in law. We purchased the whole day Spa Experience. Included in this package are all non-alcoholic drinks (unlimited) and dinner. We chose our dinner from the very comprehensive salad bar. Alternatively, there is an a la carte menu.
We had such a stress free, relaxing day. We arrived at 8.45 am and left at 10.15 pm.
The quality of the food and drinks was very good. My wife and I had breakfast in the restaurant and lunch (tapas) by the pool.
I hadn't been here for about 3 years. The whole place was very clean. The staff were very friendly. There's plenty of free parking. There's also an evening only Spa Experience package.
I've been to a few different spa's in my time and have yet to come across one that remotely matches this one. I would definitely recommend this place.

Book as far ahead as you can so that you get the date you want. Weekends are always busier! It's the best Spa I've ever been to so enjoy X

I phoned Nirvana Spa and the current price is £24.50 per person. There's no discount if two of you go in together. I am assuming you are not a member and therefore this is price is on top of your "day guest visit fee".

The outside area is open all year round - however they may close for health and safety reasons on the odd day in winter( for example it is extremely cold and the outside area is icy and therefore slippery).

We have booked the 3 hour experience and some treatments. Do we have to take lunch in the 3 hour period and would we have to book a time for lunch??

If you want lunch during your three hour package then you can buy it in the restaurant (full menu) or at the cafe (limited menu). The format in the restaurant is either table service (nicer!) or salad bar (quicker!). You don't need to book.
The disadvantage with having lunch during a three hour Time Out package is that lunch must be taken within the three hour time slot, and if you are having treatments as well then it will leave you with very little time to enjoy the other lovely facilities.
I did several "Time Out" three hour packages before I became a member. They are very good value for those just wanting to enjoy the normal facilities. I don't think they are so good for those wanting treatments - it ends up feeling like you are paying twice.

We stayed in a hotel just down the road, it's a best western hotel, if you look it up it should come up! Beautiful hotel with comfy beds, clean and a stone throw away from the spa
