We visited today and completed the Bank Heist room. Took 2 adults and 4 children (ages 10, 12 and 13). We had a great time! Perfect for all of the ages. The clues were very useful and it was good that we could choose when to use them. First time in an escape room so didn’t know what to expect but would certainly go back and try another. Great activity for a wet day.

We returned here to try out another of the rooms. This time, we did the haunted pirate ship. We felt it was trickier than the bank vault room we did last year and made a slow start. We had a great time, though, and made it out with 5 minutes to spare. We'll be back for the third room definitely!

As a group of six we had a great experience in the Haunted Pirate Ship Room.
What to expect was explained beforehand. The room was well organised with some brilliant puzzles.
After the initial ‘panicking’ we managed to solve it with one clue and 13 minutes to spare!
We would definitely recommend a visit.

Awesome fun for the whole family! We booked the Bank heist. Though we failed, we enjoyed it so much that we booked another adventure, the 'Pirate treasure hunt' for the very next day!
Finally, we managed to escape with just 2 seconds remaining. Truly a cliffhanger of an experience!

Just completed the new Vlad the vampire room as a couple and it was amazing! We have both completed numerous other escape rooms and this one had challenges we have never come across before, which were really engaging and fun to complete. The host was lovely and very accomodating to our visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Cliffhanger Rooms! The Haunted Pirate Ship was brilliant & it tested us but we did escape!
Really excellent fun!

Loads of fun! Well structured puzzles, but you can ask for hints if needed - was stressed to us that it's about having fun, not necessarily about playing a perfect game! The host was great,room (pirate) well themed, will deffo be back.

Arrived and had experience explained clearly. Lovely guy. Visited a few years ago and did the Egyptian escape room here with our 4 children who were much younger then. We found it quite stressful with younger children who were more of a hindrance than a help! Today we brought our 11 and 12 year old and they both enjoyed solving the clues and puzzles with us. We managed to escape with under 2 mins to go so it was down to the wire! Would recommend.

As a group of four friends we have now successfully completed our escape from the three different Cliffhanger rooms at Backbarrow. Each was well produced and presented different fun challenges. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We look forward to development of any new rooms in the future.
