After seeing the Horrible reviews decided to look for myself. The reviews are correct and accurate! The 3rd floor is terrible. Everything is great on the main floor and you get a sense that the place is nice. Once you are taken up to the floors where your loved ones will be living it is TERRIBLE. Very dark hole patches in the walls dirty. Many people meandering aimlessly in wheelchairs without any supervison. It took me several visits to get access to the upper floors where people are staying. There is a reason! They do not want you to see it! They also have a very rude front desk receptionist. She is an older woman and very rude and condescending. The others were very nice and professional. The welcome staff seemed nice but they are on the first floor. The nurse to patient ratio is also not good. I would not take my worst enemy here to stay.

HORRIBLE! Stay away! I wouldn't even put my worst enemy here. The nursing staff simply do not care. They speak negatively about the facility & other staff in front of patients. Ring the nurse's button & expect to wait an hour. The food is disgusting. I could only eat the breakfast. Luckily, I could order DoorDash & even still - my order would sit downstairs in the lobby for an hour or so. Therefore it was cold when I got it. When the nurse's button stopped working, we were given cow bells to ring for service.Cow bells ringing ALL day & night. Months later, I've been trying to get my final itemized bill for my insurance and to no avail. My calls keep going to voicemail. I was a rehab resident in March!

TERRIBLE FACILITY THAT TREATS THEIR RESIDENTS AWFUL! If you have any love at all for your loved ones do not send them here! All staff besides one or two are filled with hatred and attitude. A simple request is answered with screaming and refusal to do even the tiniest request. Food is terrible, no flavor. YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. I’m truly disgusted. Please whatever you do DO NOT send anyone you love here.

Christian City is a very quiet city, they have a great Nursing home, it's very clean, great place to live, especially for families with children.

Mothers Wedding Ring disappeared, and then clothing we bought her vanished only to be replaced with clothing we did not buy her.
Upon Mothers passing, they have not refunded her social security contribution payment
and it is 90 days overdue.
The Nursing Home is a waiting area for people to Pass away.

I heard about Christian City. I made the time to drive down here. There really isn't much to see, but I went online, and found the purpose of Christian City. Helping people and children i think is cool. I do realize seeing what Christian City has done, was definitely worth driving through.

I don't totally understand what the previous reviewer was saying. Yes there is a nursing home. Christian City is just a village area that has a nursing home, hospice, retirement village, and a children's village. I heard that the founders, Dr. Byron F. Harper Jr., his wife Rose Marie, and their friends Jim and Dura Dyer created this place, so it could be a safe place for children, and a place for the elderly to get love and care, and have no worries. The aren't really in thrill things here. The only positives I could find is what these people do. They give these kids a future. They care for the elderly. I would go on their website, and see what they do here. I would definitely visit this place, and try to find positive things about this place.

I don’t want to mock anybody’s idea of a good time, but Christian City is a nursing home. If you like looking at old people, I guess this could be for you, but personally, I wouldn’t consider it “an attraction.”

Christian City is a place I love. So many people showing care to everyone from a nursing home, to a hospice, and a home for orphan and displaced children. I would highlyrecommend you drive down to Christian City, and see a wonderful legacy from God.
