This is one of the better farmers markets we've visited. Wide variety of arts & crafts and unusually good delicacies, from pastries to cajun food. Saturdays.

We went just after 10am and it wasn't too bad to get around but it quickly filled up with people and warmed up too since it is on an asphalt surface. A wide variety of vendors and a lot of them give samples so you can try before you buy. Also some prepared food and drinks to purchase.

Market has moved to a site with easy parking, though much farther from the more popular downtown market. Not a lot of vendors...but the strawberries alone, when in season as they are right now, are worth the trip. Lots of fresh, organic, pretty pricey produce. Some food to eat, some crafts. The highlight is the produce here.

Stopped here on a Saturday morning last month. Only a block away from the new Hilton Garden Inn.
This is an outstanding Farmers Market. Probably the best that we've ever found, in all of our travels.
A lot of unique vendors. More fresh vegetables and fruits than you're likely to find anywhere else. And lots of other things to see, too - all with a focus on the local.
Get here early and enjoy some fresh, roasted coffee and your choice from many ready-to-eat foods.
Well worth a visit!

This is a wonderful farmers market with a variety of fruits, vegetables and meats. They also sell wine, jams and jellies and baked goods from individual stalls.

I was able to gather foods and flowers for a dinner at this market. I got meats, breads, desserts, fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, salad dressing, and a bouquet all in one trip. The dinner was outstanding because the foods were top notch. The vendors were relaxed and happy to help.

I guess the crowds speak for themselves about the popularity of this market......lots of choices despite the summer growing season having ended.....especially liked the dried fruits, jams, root veggies, dates and fun new things to try. I'd love to see it in the summer months, but I'm glad to have caught a glimpse into the variety of goodies offered. This is a fun thing to see and do on a Saturday morning.

We never go to the Boise Farmer's Market without finding some fresh vegetable, fruit, meat or bread we just HAVE to buy! On this visit we got radishes, ground beef, ground pork, goat kabobs, and sweet corn. All were wonderful, and it's great to know you are supporting local farmers. The sweet corn was so young and sweet for late September!!!
While there is no free parking at the market, you can park free for the first hour at the 9th Street Parking garage just 2.5 blocks away.

Great local produce and a fun experience. Way better then the funky market in my hometown or others nearby me.

I was surprised at how small the Boise farmers market was. I'm from SLC and we have a HUGE farmers market, so perhaps I had high expectations. I was also surprised the market was held on a small concrete parking lot and not at a park. I was hoping to see much more produce than I did. The vendors did look to have quality products and I was glad to have visited, although again, I was disappointed at how small the market was. I was also confused as to why they do not combine the public market and farmers market into one event.
