The place is great but some of the beds are awful. I feel like I got ran over by a train in some of the rooms when I wake up in the morning. Beds are completely worn out. I’m here for work and there is usually no Wi-Fi and this whole week I have had no tv. The Wi-Fi has always been an issue here. They are always “working on it”. I won’t stay again. My back can’t take it and I can’t get any work done.

We had a fantastic family ski vacation at Silver Mountain. Our family of 5 stayed in a 1 bedroom condo in the Lodge. It would have been nice to have the 2 bedroom but it worked. There was a gas fireplace and washer/dryer in the unit. Coffee provided daily to make in your room.

Loved having the full kitchen. There were no breakfast options at the lodge - so plan on making breakfast in your room if you want to get out early to ski. Otherwise you’ll need to drive to a restaurant in town. There are a few restaurants that serve breakfast in the resort village but they have limited hours and staffing right now especially during the week. The coffee shop was only open one of the three mornings that we were there, and even though they have a menu of breakfast sandwiches, there was only one person working so the kitchen was closed. Food in the water park is standard fried/processed American food: burgers, fries, onion rings, etc. They do serve a Beyond vegan burger. Three out of our 5 family members are vegan/plant based so we made most of our food in the room and took lunch with us when we went up to ski. Same standard American fare offered at the top of the mountain (no Beyond burger though).

We all had to rent gear which was easy with reservations ahead of time. Kids did two private lessons (first time skiers) and we were riding the lifts together as a family the first day. The bunny hill is a very gentle slope with a magic carpet - easy for first timers, and plenty of short green runs off of two chairlifts for beginners.

We had clear, sunny, very cold weather, but beautiful views of snow capped mountains all around. It’s an easy mountain to navigate and learn quickly. This was our first time visiting and kids are asking when we can do it again. Our first day of skiing was cancelled because of severe weather - but all lift tickets, lessons, etc refunded without issue.

The water park was fun. We spent several hours there the first day then just a couple each evening after skiing.

I first skied at Silver Mt about 15 years ago. I arrived on a Friday night during heavy snowfall that closed the passes both east and west, isolating Kellogg, Idaho. I rode the gondola (an experience in itself, especially in a blinding snowstorm) and had some of the best, dry powder skiing that I have ever experienced in more than 50 years of skiing all over the US and Europe. I returned this January to get away from the wet slop of the Cascades where I live. The gondola parking lot is maybe 50 ft across the street. An all-day weekday walk-up ticket was about $65. Although it hadn't snowed for about a week, the conditions were not too bad. A bit icy in the first few morning runs, but then OK by late morning. Not all of the lifts were operating, as with most resorts this year it seems. The runs are varied and absolutely gorgeous when the sky is blue. There are a lot of black runs, double black runs, a reasonable amount of intermediate runs and perhaps not a lot of green runs. The chair lifts are kind of old and slow, so if it had been a weekend, the lift lines might have been a problem, but there was no waiting whatsoever mid-week. Also, I would say that the proportion of boarders to skiers is among the highest I have experienced. I spent two full days exploring as many different runs as I could, and still probably didn't have a chance to ski half the runs. I'd definitely go back, but try to time my visit for when there is some fresh new snow.

We went skiing, but did not stay at the resort. Toby have a private lesson to our boys and was great. All of the staff at SM were very friendly and helpful. Love the brown bag lunch room to bring your own lunch.

Most expensive miserable stay of my life.
As a Christmas gift I booked three suites for my family to all get together. I spent four hours on the phone booking just the right rooms. I explained that my husband is handicapped and needed to be on the ground floor next to my sons 1 bedroom suit. We planned to cook together and my son would be able to help with his dads wheelchair. I paid more money to get a corner suit so the hotel could accommodate our needs. We booked our sledding also for the family from 1 to 3 the day of check in. When we arrived we were told that they were sold out and that they put us in the ground floor but my son was on the second floor. This meant we would need to still go upstairs to eat. I explained to them that I paid extra for a corner floor suite and now I wasn’t getting that and I wasn’t getting to be attached or next to my son. The room was available two months prior to checking and suddenly it wasn’t available. No doubt they sold it for more money to another customer. They finally agreed to accommodate us but then put the rest of our family on a top floor. When we went to get our tickets for going up the gondola to sled the women said they were planning to close a 1/2 hour early becausre they were “expecting” high winds. Since our group of 17 were all standing there to go up the hill to sled we agreed that we would give up a 1/2 hour so the kids could still sled. As it was the winds started as we were heading up the hill and it was pretty scary. We finally got to the top and the wind was so bad we couldn’t see due to high winds blowing. When we stepped off the gondola, the man loading the gondolas said it’s pretty bad. We walked out towards the sledding hill and there was a huge line of people trying to get onto the gondolas to get off the hill. The line was already a block long. we were told it was going to get worse and that a girl had fallen from chair lift #2 because of the wind. We decided for our safety we should just try to get off the hill. We went straight to the back of the line and stood in the blizzard until they loaded us with other stranger’s, during Covid, with my immune comprised sister, so they could get more people down faster. When we finally got down I asked the front desk for a refund since we could not sled. I was told that they would not give me back my money because we used their service to RIDE THE GONDOLA! I told them I didn’t pay to ride the gondola, I had to ride the gondola to get to the sledding hill and that they should not have let us go up the hill knowing it was already too windy to sled.
The following day my Sister and I tried to hot tub. We went at 8:00 am and it was locked. I called the desk three times over an hour to get someone to open it up and we finally gave up. The water park was freezing! Who knew they would have an indoor waterpark, open in the winter, that was not heated. We could not do s’mores because the fire pits were not on… I could go on and on about the dirty carpets, dirty sheets, coffee pots not working, etc, but this post is already so long. We paid 1600 to check in at 4 pm and check out the next day by 11:00 am… that’s 14 hours… over 100.00 per hour for basically nothing. I have never in my life written a review for a hotel before but this time I made an exception because I don’t want another family to go through what we went through. Super disappointed. I was told by the front desk that they could not address my complaints because they didn’t have the authority but a manager would call me. That was two weeks ago and counting. Yeah… after what I just went through, I should have known they don’t care about their customers enough to want them to leave happy or to want to come back

Terrible experience in every possible way. We rented a 1-bedroom loft, willing to pay the extra price for a little luxury. Instead, there was a huge wad of hair in the shower. One of the sheets had a brown mark on (I'm hoping it was chocolate). The glass over the fireplace was covered in fingerprints. Dirty dishes were left in the sink. The two flat screen TVs did not work, but the oldest "box" TV did. This was not a huge problem, as we didn't travel this far to watch TV. When we went to the waterpark, the bathroom was worse than a port-a-potty at Woodstock. It smelled of urine and the toilets were all backed up; at least one backed up onto the floor, causing brown water to cover the area. The changing room was clean by comparison and useable. The water park itself has a lot of fun slides and activities. Sadly, the entire resort is badly understaffed. Or that was the reason we were given for the mess and general disorganization. Three of our party members were injured to the point of bleeding while tubing, and 4 had injured necks from the surfing pool. I only mention this as a word of caution. The gondola ride was amazing! I recommend it. However, don't bother with the "dining" portion. The food was cold, the meal was very small, and it was just an outdoor picnic-style setup. Not a restaurant or anything close! However, there is good food available inside, so save your money for this instead. Some of the front desk staff was very rude. Kathy was very polite and helpful, but sadly, that doesn't make up for others telling us we should have "read the Disclaimers" on the website before booking with them. Beware: NO BIKE IS INCLUDED WITH THE BIKE RENTAL TICKETS! Their website has improved, however, it is still confusing and unclear. You need to pay $75+ for the bike itself plus a $50 gondola ticket plus an extra $20 for trail access. Plus additional money for a bike helmet, gloves, pads, etc. These rentals are separate and found at different locations on the website. Finally, these trails are for experienced mountain bikers only. Beginners beware. The trails are dangerous for the average biker! Two bikers, not in our party, left on stretchers. And they were "pros".

You can ride the gondola up the mountain in the summer. But if you do go and it is hot out the ride up in the gondola can be a stuffy ride. The gondola travels over the top of local homes but once you get past the town you can enjoy the forest and you may just get to see some deer below. Some of the gondolas are equipped so that you can take your mountain bike and enjoy some of the trails off the mountain at the resort.
A person could take a picnic lunch and enjoy the cooler weather at the top of the mountain.

The gondola ride offered a nice view of the valley, but this heat wave kept most people away. The mountain top was rugged and didn't offer much shade for the trails. However, we found good spot under some Ponderosa pines to enjoy the cool breeze and view. There were several dirt bikers, and the restaurant was mostly empty.

I took my 13 year old son here to get a break from Washington State.

We had fun. The room at the lodge was clean, a bit dated, but comfortable.

We are a Noah's, had frozen yogurt and went into the water park.

The water park is not enormous, but still entertaining. The food inside is typical, fried foods, pizza, etc. A bit pricey, but decent, no surprises knowing that it would be this way.

We will come again, but probably for one night rather than 2.

Great hiking around this area and you cannski during winter or mountain bike or hike in late spring and summer.

Lodging includes the water park.
