Mountain Rides is the Transportation for the whole Sun Valley area known as the Wood River Valley. The buses in the Sun Valley and Ketchum resort area are FREE and usually run every half hour from both Sun Valley Ski Base Areas, Downtown , Sun Valley Lodge area, Dollar Mountain Lodge, Elkhorn Area and Warm Springs Area. During peak ski season they run more frequently and even late into the night. During ski season they have new bus service to the airport located in Hailey and service north to Galena Lodge Cross Country Ski Center for a small fare. The buses run between the town of Hailey to the Sun Valley area as well for a small fare. The bus drivers are friendly and always eager to help with directions to all the ski areas, restaurants, etc. With Mountain Rides buses you don't have to rent a car while skiing
at Sun Valley area. There is always a stop nearby your condo or Hotel. They use full and Medium size clean buses with ski racks and bike racks for your equipment! They use Sprinter size Mercedes vans for some routes also. It is safe and reliable for those who want to stay out late and imbibe in a few drinks. They run year round and for summer visitors also... And the best part is that the Mountain Rides Buses are a sort of social gathering of friendly visitors and locals alike. You can always strike up a conversation and enjoy the ride! While in Sun Valley Ride the Buses !!
