I have never written a bad review before. I try to let people know what experiences are good; however at this stable we purchased 4 trips to be 1 1/2 hours long. When our trip ended at 1 hour I asked why we were Charged for 1 1/2 hours but only got 1 hour. I was told by Tucker, the wrangler, that our horses walked faster than usual. We stayed behind Tucker , walking single file the entire way.
The ride was on trails through the woods and did have very nice views. I would confirm the charges and length of ride should you chose to use their services. I can understand a few minutes deviation in time but to get only 2/3 of your bargain us unacceptable. They refused to reduce the charge to reflect the actual experience we received. Poor business practice.

Had a great time! Our horses were awesome and the guide was very thorough and explained everything. It was a great experience and the kids loved it.

My 11yo daughter and I had a wonderful time there yesterday. From the moment we got to the place, the two guides were attentive, helpful and great to talk to. As an experienced horse trainer, I noticed that all the horses were well cared for, properly trained for their tasks, well groomed, and easy to handle. Their ground manners were great, and families can be at ease around these lovely horses.
Our guide Ben was wonderful off and on the trail, great to talk to, respectful, kind, honest and lots of fun. He showed us the historic cabin they stay in for the summer, explained everything in detail, and treated us with utmost kindness. It just couldn’t get any better, and it was definitely worth driving up there for. Kudos to the crew.
Can’t wait to go for a cookout or an overnight pack trip sometime in the future!

Our group of five (5) adults went horseback riding for an hour and a half at Galena Corals. A friend of ours recommended them so we made the drive from Ketchum. Because it was a little bit of a ride, we made reservations to be on the safe side. Our guide, Tucker, was a very personable and skilled guide. The horses were well behaved and all had interesting personalities. We thoroughly enjoyed our trek along their mountainous trail and the views were fantastic. It totally beats those other places which only take you for rides along farms or flat, grassy fields. We even had the opportunity for several group pictures. The pricing is very reasonable at $59 per person (not including taxes & tip) and is well worth it for the experience. I would highly recommend them.

The staff members were extremely friendly and good with kids and adults. We did the 1.5 hour trail ride. The horses were well-trained and the scenery is lovely. I would recommend calling for a reservation. We lost cell reception in the area and so we just stopped by after hiking, and they were barely able to squeeze us in. The "office" is in one of the original log cabins from mining days.

The stable hands were very nice and accommodating. The corrals can accommodate large parties of 12 on one ride. The length of the ride and scenery were perfect. You could tell the horses were well taken care of. Great place to stop for a trail ride.

We did the 1.5 hr trail ride . It was the perfect amount of time and still proved challenging. I think the 3 hour trip would have been a little much for them. My husband and I have rode before, but not for quite some time. Our 4 children, aged 9-12, had not ridden for any length of time and Brady did a great job of giving them simple instructions and being patient with them.

My husband and I have both ridden many times but the kids-never. So we were a little nervous about a 90 minute ride into the mountains.
Cowboy Brady (this is how he's come to be known) was a fantastic leader/guide. He put the three kids behind him in size and age order (ages 11,12,13) and they all had very sweet, well trained horses. There were six of us plus our guide but we had no problems staying together or hearing everything that was going on.
Brady gave ongoing advice to the kids as we navigated up, down and across. The kids never felt afraid or upset. He also taught them some stuff along the way. He was fantastic. And he took pictures for us at the most scenic spot.
We had all the kids get helmets even though only one required it (kids 11 and younger). Having been off a horse a few times-not by my choosing-I would recommend a hard hat as the terrain is super rocky in some parts. I wouldn't want to land on it without a helmet.
We talked to the owner a bit and it's clear that he loves what he does and it comes through in all the interactions we had.
The kids can't wait to go back. I didn't think about it in advance so I hope I was appropriate in my tipping but don't forget to tip the guide.

Our three boys enjoyed their first horseback riding experience at Galena. I think that Amos, our guide, had a lot to do with it. He talked and joked with the boys as he lead our 1 1/2 hour ride. It was a beautiful ride, the horses were well behaved and the staff was friendly and personable. I highly recommend them.

My husband, son and I took at 90 minute ride. Definitely superior to other similar trail rides we have taken. The terrain is more interesting and even if you are far from an expert rider, you are not treated like a child.
The staff was fun and friendly and the horses were well behaved. The price of $58 per person seemed very reasonable.
We would definitely recommend this as an activity for all ages.
