It is a basic museum with some interesting information. The quality of the exhibits is not great but the information and facts presented are interesting. They do have some nice displays and sections of the museum explaining the history of the area and Lava Hot Springs specifically. Worth the time. Probably less than an hour unless you read everything they have to offer, then maybe 2 hours at the most. Only a few dollars donation to enter.

Average town/county type museum full of random odds and ends stuff with little or no logical history of the town/county presented. If you haven't seen enough old random stuff and poorly lit displays and interpretive signs then go and enjoy. The local history of the spa and the area would be so interesting to learn about if someone knew how to present it in the museum.

This small museum has a lot of fun old memorabilia. The history of the area has a lot of interesting people and the Native American facts are moving. Also noteworthy antiques. The staff are warm and friendly while answering any questions.

The Museum is only $2 to check out. The collection is large for a small local museum. The collection has several exhibits from Indian heritage to local war veterans from the area. You can see items from Pioneer, Mining, and earlier times plus some history of the hot pools. The gift shop is small but offered locally made items. I noticed the proprietor offered the young kids a treasure hunt of museum for extra fun and a prize.

This small museum is very interesting for such a small town. There is a lot of info displayed in a bit of a hellter skelter way explaining to origin of the town and its history over the years. For the price of a dollar a person this is well worth the visit if you have the time.
A walk through the town is also recommended in the summer, it is very active.

This is a great little museum about the history of the county. I really enjoyed it and thought the exhibits were meaningful.

We kind of wanted to go to this location as a second choice on a cool fall day however when we arrived at the location the sign said it was closed for the winter however It did have winter hours!
Don't know when I'll be back in Pocatello don't know when I'll have time to actually see this location so basically one out of five

If you want a taste of what this part of Idaho is all about, stop and visit this gem of a museum. It is part of the visitors center and well worth an hour of your time. It all adds to the color of the area.

I had a big surprise with this museum. It has great intentions and does its best with the resources it has. It has lots of information about the area with pictures, and plenty of artifacts. There is a video but I did not watch it. You can stay there an hour or two.

Loved they're little Museum! If you like to see how small towns got there start this museum has the answers. I just love their little Laura Ingalls bonnet. Staff was welcoming and friendly even though we sneak in about 4:55 when they close at 5 o'clock didn't rush us or anything. Will go back with more time to take pictures.
